It is prom day for Chris and the day Bella leaves for North Carolina. Chris's prom was the only thing on Bella mind. All she can think about is Chris being with the girl he's taking to prom. She's slowly starting to feel hurt all over again because that was suppose to be her at his prom. Nothing feels right to Bella because things aren't suppose to be like this at all and she hates it.
Chris sends Bella a picture of him getting ready and Bella just stares at the phone. She can't believe how handsome he looks and she is just feeling sad. She's trying her best to hold back the tears in front of her mom while they are on the rode. Bella just plays her music really loud to distract her. She's looking on Twitter to see everyone's prom pictures and of course she sees Chris pictures with the girl, so she gets off.
Bella can't wait for all of this to go away soon. Her family finally makes it to the hotel and now she's hoping to have some fun and get everything off her mind. Chris hasn't responded in hours because he's at prom so she's not really expecting a text until the next day. So until then Bella is trying to enjoy her time with her family by going out to eat and swimming in the pool. Everything is finally keeping her mind off of what Chris could be doing.
She knows most people have sex after prom so that's all she's really worried about. At the end of the day, she constantly tells herself "that's not my boyfriend anyway so I can't get mad over anything" to keep herself less sad. Bella is up late at night thinking about what Chris could be doing and it's killing her. She finally decides to just sleep it off. Her best friend at Chris school calls her at 4 in the morning so high and drunk.
He's telling her about the party he was at and he didn't really enjoy his prom that much. The girl he took was kind of giving him mixed signals so he didn't want to deal with her after prom, he took her home and went to parties. Bella is laughing at him because she finds it so funny when he's high and trying to tell her a story. He kept Bella up until about 5 and then they both went to sleep. Bella had to end the convo because she has to get up for her stepdad's brother daughter wedding in the morning.
Bella wakes up to a good morning text from Chris and she's feeling kind of happy. Just talking to him changes her whole mood. It's killing her not to ask what all did he do last night because she doesn't want to make him mad so she just have a regular conversation. Bella starts to get ready for the wedding and isn't really feeling her dress. Showing her legs isn't something she really likes doing because her legs are so skinny and it makes her uncomfortable.
During the wedding Chris and Bella started to argue because Bella retweeted a tweet on Twitter about wanting a white boy. Chris told her to just go get a white boy since she want one so bad. Bella didn't take their argument serious because she retweeted that to make him mad. She still has it in her mind to do whatever she wants because they still aren't together and he is still with that other girl. When he tells her he let her go, that's when she'll stop tweeting certain stuff to make him mad.
It is starting to irritate Chris because he told Bella "I can't just drop her the day after prom, I have to give it some time". Bella thinks that's a lie and just an excuse to keep trying to play her so all she said was "yea you can but whatever". Chris keeps trying to tell Bella he is going to drop her, just be patient. Bella feels that she shouldn't have to be patient over somebody she had first but she dropped the argument and moved on from it. The only reason Bella is going to give it some time is because she loves him.
