Chapter 18

Amber POV

I am still confused about what they mean with the second suicide attempt. I mean why would she try to kill herself and why did she try the first time. My whole entire life I have been called the lunatic but maybe she's the real lunatic. We all hopped in my dad's car and headed to the hospital. After about 25 minutes  we got there. I saw Uncle Dean sitting on the chair rapidly tapping his foot on the ground like a crazy person.

Joe: hey man is she alright?

Dean: she's still asleep. They say that she lost a lot of blood but she was able to recover.

Joe: oh thank God.

Amber: alright can someone please explain to me when she tried to kill herself the first time and why.

Harmony: Amber let's take a walk.

Amber: but I want answers.

Harmony: and I will give you them to you as we walk come one. She pulled my arm and we began walking around the hospital towards the elevator.

Amber: seriously.

Harmony: you want answers?

Amber: yes.

Harmony: alright about two weeks ago days before you even came back probably even a week before she tried to kill herself.

Amber: I heard. But why?

Harmony: alright so it makes it easier for the both us, she tried killing herself after she saw you.

Amber: what do you mean?

Harmony: after she saw you. When you had ran away already. She said something about seeing you with a friend, which I am guessing was James, after you guys saw a movie and you said some things to her.

Amber: she was gonna kill herself over that?

Harmony: yes. She already feels horrible about the whole situation with making your life a living hell and making it ten timed harder for you to live.

Amber: well that's good and surprising to hear.

Harmony: woah woah woah. You're happy that she feels bad?

Amber: I actually am. She deserves to feel miserable along with Justin because that's how I have been feeling for the past ten years. I felt worthless and miserable.

Harmony: you are a real bitch.

Amber: me? She made my life a living hell. How am I supposed to feel completely sorry. I feel sorry for her and I am happy. Isn't that enough?

Harmony: what you're saying now is that you're happy that she nearly killed herself. We get it you suffered because of her, Justin, and your idiot aunt. But it's not completely her fault. Your aunt basically raised her to hate you. In one day she finds out that her actual father is Dean and her mother is dead. She finally realized that your aunt was a lying bitch and felt bad about how she treated you for the past ten years. She wanted you to forgive her for everything but instead of just saying no you had to give a whole life's reason not. You called her a murder because she killed two mothers. That wasn't on purpose. Instead of letting some of it go and saying no you broke her. Because of you she wants to kill herself and this is the second time. The third time we won't be so lucky.

Amber: you know what Harmony you don't understand because your life has been so perfect.

Harmony: that's what you think. Newsflash you're not the only one in the world who has problems. Trust me.

Amber: what? Because you have divorced parents it's a huge problem? I barely lived with mine. I was barely raised. My whole life was a lie.

Harmony: that's great. But understand this, Jasmine's life is in your hands because if she dies it will be because of you. In case you didn't realize words hurt.
