(COMPLETED) It's A Love Story (A Fireafy Fanfiction)

Friday: The Day of The Play Pt. 2! The Finale!

Firey's POV:
"CLASS! IMPORTANT NEWS!!!" Mrs. Hanson exclaimed as she ran towards the cast. "Class, it's very important that we get this performance to be perfect! In the front row of the audience, is none other than the publisher of Object Schools Weekly! He's the person who goes to different schools and rates the different schools! Our school has never reached the top of the list on any of the lists, ever... It would be really good for the school's reputation, plus it would mean so much to me, if we could get the top on just one list! For this year, our drama production is our last chance to make the top of the list! No pressure on any of you, but the publisher has the best view of the play. He'll be able to see and hear everything perfectly. Still, no pressure, just do your best!" she told us. Wow, no pressure she says? I'm feeling a lot of pressure right now!

Leafy's POV:
After hearing Mrs. Hanson's announcement, I got so scared and worried. I don't wanna let Mrs. Hanson down! Firey looked at me, obviously noticing my worry and nervousness. "You're going to be the best one out there. Don't worry about it!" he reassured me. I took a deep breath, then feeling relaxed again. The play was then about to start.

(A/N: I'm not gonna type the entire play... One, I've never seen a play of this story, two, I've never read any books about it, and three, I've never watched any films about it. So I don't really know all the details.)

Time skip to right before the death scene...

Firey's POV:
As Leafy was on stage, pretending to be dead, I waited backstage for my cue. Before I went on, I remembered about the publisher. I was wondering if he'd be able to tell that I was going to fake-kiss Leafy... Probably... I was then really nervous, but then I heard my cue. I took a deep breath, then went out on stage. After I fought and "killed" Snowball, I walked over to Leafy. I said my line, then realizing that the only way to make this play perfect, was if I did what I was supposed to. Leafy's eyes were closed, so she couldn't see me. I slowly leaned down closer to her, and without having seconds thoughts:

I pressed my lips on hers and kissed her. (A/N: *insert a bunch of fangirls and fanboys(?)*)

Leafy's POV:
OMZ OMZ OMZ FIREY JUST KISSED ME OMZ OMZ!!! I kept thinking over and over again. The sudden kiss caused me to nearly forget the rest of my lines. Good thing I didn't have to say anything right afterwards... I had to keep my eyes closed, so I did. I figured it was just to make the play better, but it almost felt like he meant it... He soon removed his lips from mine, then finished the rest of his lines. I continued to pretend to be dead, waiting for Coiny to show up. He did, then said his lines. I then "woke up" and sat up. I then said my lines. Once Coiny left, I walked over to the now "dead" Romeo/Firey. I bent down to his level, then knowing I had to do the same thing Firey did. I leaned closer to him, then:

I kissed him.

He has no idea how much I've wanted to do that...

Firey's POV:
OMO... She... She kissed me... I can't believe it... Well, she probably had the same intentions as me... To make the play perfect. Once she finished her lines, I felt her fall onto me. I then heard the curtain close and a round of applause. Leafy and I stood up, then went up for the curtain call. The whole cast stood in front of the audience and took a bow. I could see my parents and sister, Leafy's parents and family, Headphones, and Speaky in the crowd. I then saw someone who looked like the publisher guy. He seemed to be quite impressed. After curtain call, we all went backstage. I walked with Leafy and the others for a group photo. Coiny then came up to me. He didn't say anything, but his facial expression said it all. His look said, "You totally enjoyed that..." I kinda glared at him, annoyed, but then relaxed. Mrs. Hanson then wanted some pictures of just Leafy and I. We slowly agreed to do so. After the pictures were done, Needle came over to us. "I bet a picture of you two kissing would definitely cause people to talk about this..." she teased. "Shut up Needle..." Leafy quietly said, looking at the ground. I was then greeted by my parents. "Firey! Oh my goodness, you were so wonderful!" my mom exclaimed, hugging me. "You were fantastic son!" my father then said. "Thanks Mom, thanks Dad," I said. I then saw Ash rush up to me. "OMG OMG OMG YOU KIS-" she started to exclaim when I covered her mouth. "Everyone knows already! You don't need to remind them..." I said, annoyed. "Oh... Still, you did great!" she told me. I looked over and saw Leafy getting attacked by hugs from her family. "Guys... Can't... Breathe...!" she exclaimed. They finally let go of her. Ash, Amy, and Speaky then formed a circle and started chanting, "Fireafy! Fireafy! Fireafy!" "Girls! Shush!" I heard Leafy exclaim, trying to get them to stop. I'm still not sure what Fireafy is exactly... I sorta understand, but not really... Leafy then walked back over to me. "Firey... You... Um..." she seemed to start saying, but then restarted. "You did really well tonight! Your acting was fantastic!" she then said to me. "Y-you too! You were amazing! Best one out there, just like I told you!" I replied. "Hee hee... Thanks..." she said. We then just kinda stood there awkwardly. "Um... Leafy...?" I asked. "Hmm?" "About earlier... I... Um..." I started to say, when I was interrupted by my mom. "Let's go get dinner together!" she suggested. Leafy's family, my family, Headphones, and Speaky agreed. Leafy and I then left and headed to the bathrooms to go change back into other clothes. Once that was done, we all went outside. We all got into the cars, then drove to Gelatin's Steakhouse. Yep, Gelatin has a steakhouse named after him! He also works there sometimes. We all walked in, us getting seated at a very long table. I sat between Leafy and Ashley. I tried to have a conversation with Leafy, but it just seemed awkward now... Everyone ordered their food, then we waited. The adults were all talking to each other, and so were the kids. Oak and Headphones were chatting, but Leafy and I sorta just sat there... Our food finally arrived after about fifteen minutes. I had ordered smoked salmon, while Leafy had ordered ravioli and a salad. We silently ate our food while everyone else was in conversation. The others would occasionally ask one of us a question, but that was basically it. I think the only time Leafy said anything to me during dinner was when she asked me to hand her the garlic bread. Yeah... Anyway, after dinner, everyone decided to order a slice of pie (A/N: I dunno... I like pie...?). I ordered a chocolate pie (A/N: Those are the best... 😛😄) and Leafy ordered key lime pie. I didn't really pay attention to what everyone else ordered. Once we got our pie, I picked up the small fork that came with it. I was about to start eating it, when another fork suddenly takes a piece of the pie. Confused, I looked over at Leafy. On her fork, was a bit of the chocolate pie. She just simply smiled and ate the pie on her fork. I laughed, then quickly took a bit of hers before she could stop me. I ate the pie, then remembering I've never had key lime pie before, and actually found it pretty good... She laughed a bit, then continued to eat her own pie. I started to eat my chocolate pie, when I then felt someone staring at me. I looked over and saw Ash was smiling and holding in her laughter. I mouthed, "Shush," then continued eating. Everyone soon eventually finished.
