(COMPLETED) It's A Love Story (A Fireafy Fanfiction)

The Final Week: Monday

Leafy's POV:
Monday morning. I heard my alarm clock beep a very annoying sound, so I turned it off. I sat up and yawned. I then remembered that Friday was the play. "I gotta practice!" I exclaimed to myself. I practically jumped out of bed and quickly changed into a pair of jean shorts and white t-shirt with a green leaf on it. I brushed my long green hair and then decided to braid my hair. I didn't do it often, since I had quite a lot of hair, but I was feeling different today. I braided my hair into one long braid and draped the braid over my right shoulder. I then went downstairs and ate a bowl of cereal. Once I was finished, I grabbed my backpack and was about to walk outside, when suddenly I felt a hand grab my wrist. I turned around and saw Amy looking at me. "Morning Amy!" I said to her. "Morning Leafy!" she replied, smiling. Wow, I almost forgot she was here... I guess having a new family member takes getting used to. I stood there awkwardly, now not sure what to say next. "Um... I gotta go get to school..." I then told her. "Mom said that you're gonna walk me to my new school today," Amy then informed me. Oh. I was not aware of that... Thanks Mom... "Oh, okay then! Come along now," I told her. She grabbed her backpack and then we walked out together. I looked at my phone and saw that I had plenty of time. I walked to Firey's house and was about to ring the doorbell when I saw a note:

The doorbell is broken. Please knock loudly.

Huh. Broken doorbell. I knocked on the door, but no one answered. I guess I had knocked too quietly. I was about to knock again when the door suddenly opened. I didn't have time to pull my hand back and kinda whacked someone in the shoulder with my hand. I looked up and saw Firey standing at the door (A/N: Lol, idk why but I kept typing "foot" on accident instead of door 😂). "Ow! Hey, what was that for?" Firey asked me. "Oops... Sorry, I didn't mean to do that... I was just about to knock on the door, then you ope-" I started explaining when he interrupted me. "I know! I'm just kidding Leafy," he replied while laughing. He then looked down next to me. "Hey Amy," he then said. "Hi!" she replied. "I was just about to head to school. Were you coming to see me or something?" he then asked. I nodded. "I'm walking Amy to her new school today. It's the same school that Ashley goes to. Maybe she wants to walk with us?" I then told him. Firey then replied, "I'm sure she'd come! She really oughta walk to school more often... It's not even that far..." "How does she get to school anyway?" I then asked. "Mom drives her on her way to work... Ash may be thin and tiny, but she's not exactly fit..." he then said. "I HEARD THAT!" a voice shouted. "Oh crap..." he then said. I then saw Ash come to the front door, probably about to hit Firey or something, but she then saw Amy. "Amy!" she exclaimed. "Ash!" Amy exclaimed back. They hugged each other. "You wanna walk to school together?" Amy asked. Ash immediately nodded and rushed to get her backpack. Ten seconds later, she came back outside, ready to go. The four of us walked together. I saw Ash and Amy whispering to each other, then giggling. Wonder what they're talking about... Probably something completely ridiculous. Ah, I remember when Firey and I would have the weirdest and most ridiculous conversations...

Flashback...

"Have you ever wondered if food will ever come to life and take over the world?" asked a ten year old Firey. "I have actually! Mutated food... That would be interesting..." my ten year old self replied. Firey picked up the cheeseburger he was eating. "RAWR! I'm gonna take over the world!" Firey pretended to make the burger speak in an evil voice. I laughed and picked up one of my French fries. "Grr! Me too!" I made the fry say back. "We'll partner up! Then we'll be stronger!" Firey said for the burger. "Yeah! We'll dominate the world together!" I replied for the fry. We continued to pretend the food was speaking for a while, until Mrs. Flame told us to stop playing with our food. We stopped, but we laughed about our conversation.

End of flashback...

I laughed a bit, thinking about that memory. "What's so funny?" I then heard Firey asked me. "I'm just thinking about the past... Remember when we talked about foods mutating and taking over the world?" I then replied and asked. His eyes seemed to lighten after I told him that. "Yes! That burger and the French fry!" he exclaimed. "I'm gonna take over the world!" he then said in the exact same voice he did six years ago. "Me too!" I replied in the same voice I did six years ago. We both laughed. Amy and Ash looked at us, clearly unsure of what was happening. That just made us laugh more. We reached their elementary school. "Ah, I remember when we went here," I said as I looked at the elementary school. "Me too. Such good times..." Firey replied. We said bye to Amy and Ash. They said bye back to us and walked into their school. Firey and I then continued to the high school.
