Chapter Two: You can have anything in the world...

Priscilla

"Hey Neeks." I said to Nico after breakfast.

"Hey."

"So I'm going to hang around Amber. You know, see if anything is weird."

"Priscilla, no way. She could be dangerous. You heard her, she's trying to capture someone from camp. And it's a daughter of Athena. And you're a daughter of Athena!" Nico pointed out.

"Nico that's the point. If it's not me which is probably right, then I can't just let someone get hurt!"

"Priscilla." He sighed. "If you're going to do this, then I'm going with you."

"Okay good. I don't want to do it alone."

"I'll be here."

Nico and I looked around, searching for Amber. We even looked for Theseus to ask him where Amber was.

Nothing. Until we searched behind the cabins. We heard whispering behind the Hecate cabin.

Nico and I leaned against the side of the building near the corner listening to the conversation.

"I want you to join me." It was Amber.

"Amber that's crazy!" I gasped quietly. It was Theseus!

"Theseus, I promise it will be worth it! If you help me you can have anything you want!"

"Anything?" Theseus breathed.

"Well, yea." Amber replied.

"Amber we've been training to defend ourselves against evil and dark forces outside of Camp Half Blood, why would I join a dark and evil force?"

"Theseus come on! You can have anything in the world! He will reward you and you can rule the world too!"

"Amber I can't!"

"Theseus you can't say that you haven't wanted power." I couldn't breath. I grabbed Nico's hand and held on to it for dear life.

"Yea I know I have. You don't need to remind me." Theseus said sarcastically.

"Look all you need to do is help me capture them and then take them to him."

Nico squeezed my hand hard.

I knew that they were going to capture someone.

"Okay. Just let me think about it."

"Oh dude. There's nothing to think about. You know too much. He'll make you join even if you don't want to."

"Amber then why would you tell me?!" Theseus sounded pissed.

"Sorry. But I can't do this alone. I'm betraying everyone I know and love. Including Priscilla! I didn't want to do this but he came to me and pretty much forced me to join him. I was desperate Theseus! I have nothing left except you." Amber sniffled and I realized she was crying.

"Fine, I'll do it. But only because I want to do it. I do whatever I want. Nobody is going to make me do anything."

"Yeaaa..." Amber said.

"So what do I do first?" Theseus asked.

"Remember who I told you we needed to confine?"

"Yea."

"We need to confine them. If we don't then our whole plan will be ruined."

"Okay so can we just go up to them and knock them out?"

"No. They can't see us or hear us coming. They could scream."

"Okay, when do we start?"

"Now." Amber replied.

"Good." We heard Theseus and Amber leave. Nico took a deep breath and let go of my sweaty hand.

"Sorry." I said.

"Priscilla we have to find out who the other person is. Which daughter of Athena is going to be captured."

"I know. Nico you have to watch yourself from now on. They'll be looking to attack you. You can't let that happen."

"I won't. I can handle myself." Nico looked worried. He had this adorable look on his face where his eyebrows were scrunched together and he was frowning.

"I'm going to hang around Amber and Theseus now. How about you take Theseus and I take Amber?" I suggested.

"Sure." Nico agreed.

We split up and went in different directions. I found Amber quickly. She was around some Aphrodite girls. I walked up casually and sat down with them.

"Hey girls." I greeted.

"Hey Priscilla." All of the Aphrodite girls chorused.

I looked towards Amber. She looked uncomfortable and awkward.

"You haven't spoken to me in a while." Amber said quietly.

"Neither have you." I retorted calmly.

"You were always ignoring me so I didn't think I should have."

"You ignored me." I was getting angry and I told myself to calm down. What? This girl is going to be kidnapper soon.

"Whatever." Amber got up and left.

I stood and walked in the other direction.

Soon I found Nico and Percy talking while Theseus and some other Ares kid played 1 v 1 volleyball.

"Hey guys." I said and sat down next to Nico. He looked in my direction and I shook my head no.

"Hey." Percy said. "What have you been up to?"

"Oh nothing. Just trying to reunite myself with a friend. It didn't work."

"Oh." The conversation ended there. We all lamely watching the match.

Soon Theseus saw me sitting with Nico. He scowled and stopped playing. The volleyball came over the net and boinked him on the head.

Everyone watching attempted to hide their bursts of laughter.

Theseus muttered something and stormed away angrily.

Nico smiled and cursed in Greek under his breath.

Percy smirked at him, "gosh Nico, language."  He scolded.

Nico raised his eyebrows and sighed.

"She didn't even want to look at me." I whispered into Nico's ear.

"We'll have to watch them when they are together. That's the only way that we'll get answers."

"Nico what happens when we do know who else is going to be had captive?"

"No one is going to be held captive. We will find out who the other person is and we will protect them.

"Neeks don't you think that if we find out who it is that we should tell someone?"

"Oh yea." Nico said dumbly.

"No duh Neeks. Something is going to happen and the camp can help."

"Okay, but first we figure out who is in danger. Then we can tell everyone and have Amber and Theseus interrogated. Okay?"

"Okay good. I agree." I said.

"Let's go find them." Nico said and stood up with me by his side...
