Nico walked outside with me and looked to his right and left as if he was crossing the street.

"Okay, come on." Nico wrapped his arm around my waist and helped me down the steps.

"Nico, I walked fine before, I can do this."

"No." Was all he said. I let the matter go. When he didn't want to talk he didn't want to talk. I had to respect that.

We finally reached the end of the street and turned onto another one.

There in front of a house, and ad said Bob and Ells Plumbing Service, Charlestown, West Virginia

"Charlestown." I whispered.

"Yea, I guess so." Nico responded.

"Let's get out of here." I muttered softly.

"Yea. We need to eat something. I don't think I can shadow travel again without eating and drinking first."

"Okay. Yea." I gazed at the house we stood in front of.

"Priscilla? Are you even listening to me?" Nico's face appeared in my line of vision. "Wait what's wrong?" He said, suddenly concerned.

"Nothing." I felt a tear slip out and run down my cheek. I brushed it off and turned to keep going down the street.

"Are you sure? Cause you're crying."

"I know. It's nothing."

"Obviously it's not nothing." Nico whispered and grabbed on to one of my wrists.

"Nico. Please." I pleaded.

"Okay. I get it." Nico nodded and slipped is arm around my torso again.

I sighed. I didn't really want to tell Nico, but I did anyway. "Charlestown is the town I lived in when my sister died. I lived not too far from here actually I think. Let's keep walking Nico, I want to move and get out of this place."

I shivered. Nico didn't say anything.

Eventually we came onto a busy street with a plaza across from us. I could see a convenience store, a laundromat, a pizzeria, and an ice cream parlor.

We waited for the street light to change and then we crossed.

First the pizzeria. Then the convenience store.

"Nico we don't have any money." I whispered to him.

"I know."

"Stealing?" I guessed.

"We're going to have to."

A man behind the counter in a white apron and gray clothes called out a number sixty seven.

"That's us." Nico called. He walked to the counter, leaving me at the door alone.

"Got the ticket?" The man said. His name tag read Vance.

"Oh, my girlfriend has it over there." Nico pointed at me.

I widened my eyes and pretend to shuffle around in all of my pockets.

"That's okay. I got it." Vance said and gave Nico the pizza box.

"Thank you." Nico smiled.

After we had walked out, I told Nico,  "Nice acting."

"I could say the same for you. Nice touch with the shuffling around in your jeans."

I smiled as we sat down on a bench  in front of the ice cream parlor.
