When the passionate hungry kiss broke the world open, Joong didn’t let go right away.

The kiss lingered in the air long after Joong pulled away Dunk’s breath was shallow, eyes glossy, cheeks flushed, and heart pounding in his chest so hard he feared the entire garden might hear it. His hand remained wrapped in Joong’s, their new wedding rings gleaming under the golden arch.

The moment was sealed, sacred they were married but they still hadn’t spoken the words. Not truly as they turned to the applause; wild, emotional, endless Joong gave Dunk’s hand a soft squeeze, grounding him.

The music shifted tulip petals danced in the wind and the newlyweds walked hand in hand down the aisle together, two silhouettes against the last rays of evening light, toward the next step of forever.

_______

The reception garden was a glow hundreds of fairy lights had been strung from tree to tree, glittering like stars caught in branches.

A delicate chandelier of hanging tulips swayed gently above the sweetheart table, and soft instrumental music floated on the breeze the long wooden tables were set with golden plates, crystal glasses, and name cards written in cursive gold ink.

Famous faces filled the crowd; CEOs, designers, singers, even a few politicians but the most beautiful thing in the garden was Dunk, and Dunk could feel eyes watching him every time Joong glanced his way he was dressed like a dream, and Dunk felt entirely too visible.

Joong, on the other hand, had eyes only for his wife.

“I didn’t think you’d still be this shy” he murmured in Dunk’s ear as they walked toward their table.

“I’m not!” Dunk lied.

“Then why won’t you look at me?” Joong smirked.

Dunk glanced at him only for a second just enough to see the pure adoration in Joong’s gaze and immediately looked away.

“I’m married to someone dangerous,” Dunk muttered.

“You’re married to someone hopelessly in love with you” Joong replied, voice softer now, nearly lost in the noise of the crowd but as his last words slip it was too slow.

Dunk heard it but not properly he look at Joong with questions look but Joong just smile as he take him to family but maybe somewhere Dunk know it was Joong's quiet confession.

_______

Their first dance came quickly, the garden hushed as the music slowed, and Joong stood first, extending a hand toward Dunk like they’d never met before.

“May I have this dance with you wife”

Dunk cheeks flushed with particular word he swallowed his lumps as he nodded with saying anything.

The song was soft lilting something unfamiliar Dunk blinked at him.

“What is this?” he ask adorably confuse

“A melody I never played for anyone...until now” Joong smiled.

He pulled Dunk close very close by his one hand on his waist, the other holding his hand gently, their foreheads brushed guests around them faded into nothing.
