Engagement Party

When I went home, my mother was angry. "Where on earth were you Anastasia!"

I looked down. "At Catherine's grave." I lied. "Your sister died one month ago. Why are you still visiting her grave?" My mother said annoyed. "B-because, I miss her." I studdered. My mother sighed. "You're useless!"

The next afternoon, the village was having an engagement party for Jace and me. I didnt want to attend, but as the bride I had to. I wore a long red sleevless dress that had black lace on the top of it. I brushed my long brown hair and went outside. I looked around and didnt see Jace anywhere. I looked at the forest and sighed. I wondered if Derek was there. I looked around at all the villagers celebrating for Jace and me, but mostly for Jace. I heard people kissing and moaning behind the bakery shop. I slowly walked behind the shop and saw Jace making out with the Butcher's daughter, Matilda. I walked towards them. "Enjoying yourselves?"

Jace's face got red and angry. "Exuse me, Matilda." He grabbed my arm and started walking away from Matilda. "What the hell is wrong with you, you worthless piece of shit!" He threw me to the ground. "I will not marry you Jace!" I yelled. Jace firmly picked me up. "Yes you will! After we get married I will rape you, then kill you!" He yelled and threw me back on the ground.

I got up and ran to the forest. Jace was chasing after me. He caught up to me, pushed me to the tree and raised my arms above my head. "I like this position better." He said with a smirk. I spit in his face. "I think I'll just rape you here, then i'll kill you." Jace said angrily.

Derek grabbed Jace from behind and threw him to the ground, knocking him out. "Are you okay?" Derek asked. I slowly nodded in fear. He hugged me to comfort me. "If he tries to hurt you ever again, I'll kill him." Derek said angrily.
