Curiousity Killed the Cat

  When Alec said those two words, I was paralyzed by fear. Alec grabbed my arm. "Derek won't save you."

  I pulled my arm back firmly and went to go find Derek. The classical music stopped and then a slow song was being played on the piano. Derek came and took my hand. "Would you like to dance?"

  I smiled slightly and said yes. Derek put his hands on my waist and pulled me close, I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, and we started to dance. "What did Alec say?" Derek whispered in my ear. I felt his breath on my neck. I looked into Derek's eyes. "Nothing." I lied.

  After the dance finished, Derek and I said goodnight and went to our rooms. I sat on the edge of my bed, remembering those two words Alec said; "You're next" Oh how those words brought chills up my spine. I slowly walked out of my room and went and knocked on Derek's door. "Five minutes!" He shouted. I sighed and turned around and saw the two, big wooden doors behind me. The doors that led me to the room I was forbidden to go to. I slowly walked towards one of the doors, took a deep, breath, opened it, and walked in.

  The room was very dark, and full of torn up furniture. I walked in front of the broken mirror and looked at my reflection. I turned around and saw a Teddy bear, sitting on this old, dusty, pink chair. I slowly picked it up and examined it. I looked over at what seemed to be a body bag. I dropped the Teddy bear and slowly walked towards the bag.

  I kneeled down beside it and slowly unzipped it. It was a girl! She had no eyes, just black sochets. Dry blood covered her face and neck. Her hair was like straw. I cried out in fear and backed up.

  All of a sudden the girl sat up and turned her head to me. She wore a white dress that had blood stains. She grabbed my arm and I screamed. I quickly got up and tried to run but she tripped me and pinned me to the ground. I started shaking from fear. "HELP!" I screamed. The girl scratched my arm with her sharp nails, making my arm bleed.

  All of a sudden Derek ran in. "Catherine! STOP!" He yelled. I looked at the girl. "Catherine?!" I beamed. Derek ran and pushed her off of me and picked me up and ran out of the room.

  "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!" Derek yelled angrily. I started to cry, I couldn't speak. I was terrified. "SHE COULD'VE KILLED YOU!" Derek yelled. "I-I'M SORRY!" I cried.

  Derek calmed down, and wrapped his arms around me. "Anastasia, its okay, im here." He said trying to comfort me. I buried my face in his arms and cried.

  Derek ended up letting me sleep in his bed since of what happened, I was terrified to be alone. He was comforting me, and trying to make me feel safe. I didn't feel safe though, I felt scared.
