(Kindle in the media)
Kindle's Diary
Well, here I go, I'm not good with intros at all, I'm Kindle, I'm 19, A freshman at Western University. I'm an Athlete , I play basketball, softball, volleyball, etc. You name it, I play it, and I'm the best at it. I'm a genius too, A honor roll student with honor classes. I'm kind of shy, I don't approach anyone first. Dislike drama, I absolutely love my game, I play it ALL the time. My best friend, Kayla, thinks I'm obsessed , but I'm not. It's just my game and music keeps me sane in life. No matter what life throws at me, they have my back.
In the mist of writing in my journal I grew irritated by as I heard knocking on my door . I walked to the door and swung it open only to see Kayla 5'3 petite figure standing in front of the door returning the hostile look I was giving her.
"And you can lose fix that sour face of yours" she demanded as she pushed past me to sit on my bed.
"No one asked you to come in my room being rude, what do you want?" I retorted with a confused look on my face. I didn't notice what she had on before she stormed in, but it wasn't her normal fit. Basketball shorts and a tank top? What's up with that?
"What do you want Kayla? Why are you here?" I asked and immediately saw how tensed up she became.
"I...umm..well I.." she stuttered as she got up and paced back and forth "well you what?" I practically yelled.
"welllll.. I have a girlfriend" She said as she looked at me with those soft brown eyes of hers.
"Okay and what does that have to do with you being here?" I questioned,
"Don't do that Kindle, but I want you to meet her and before you say anything I want you to get your thoughts together and greet her with manners because she's transferring to our school Monday," she said as she ran her fingers through her hair.
"Why are you dressed like this though?" I asked,
"Because she's teaching me how to play basketball and she is trying out for the team as well so be nice," she said cracking a weak smile that was met with an intense gaze. I don't understand how she don't know how I feel.
It's obvious and doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that I don't want to meet this girl friend of hers, mainly because that should be me.
"Why do you act like this when I bring up other girls Kindle?" she asked as she grabbed her keys "you know what never mind," she said as rushed passed me and slammed the door as she left. I laid on my bed in frustration thinking "if only she knew"
