*Kindles POV*

I woke up to the smell of a hot Sunday's breakfast filling my room thanks to my suite mate, Honesty , but I wasn't hungry. Kayla's new relationship was still fresh on my mind. If I was her "bestfriend" why wouldn't she tell me she was seriously talking to someone? Where she meet this girl from?

My phone started ringing Kayla's ringtone in the middle of my thoughts. I rolled my eyes debating on if I should answer or not. After the 5th vibrate I decided to answer.

"Hello?"

"Hey Kinkin! It's Sunday and I want to get you out the house so we can talk about stuff... last night didn't end well and we're better than that" She sounded so elated.. a little too elated.

I signed "Ehh sure okay sounds like a plan what time you coming to get me?"

"I'll be there by 1:30 we have to be at the place by 2:15, so be ready bye."

Before I could ask what place she hung up in my face, which irks my soul. She knows how I am about not knowing where I'm going. After laying in bed for another 14 minutes I decided to get up to iron my clothes. After that was done I turn on my shower water, turned my beats pill and let the music take me away.

*Kayla's POV*

I pulled up to Kindle's dorm feeling nervous asf. I told her I would get her out of the house so we could talk, but it wont only be us, my girlfriend Tiana will be joining us as well. I want them to meet before tomorrow, if something happens I don't want the whole school instigating.

I walked inside Kindle's dorm and heard Sail by AWOLNATION playing from the bathroom. I noticed Kindle's mail sitting on the floor so I picked it up to read it.

Hey Dezzi, I won't be home this weekend to come get you, I got called into an emergency for work, I put money in your account, Love you see you later. ~Mom

I know Kindle wouldn't be happy to read that. Her mom spend most of her time at work instead of with Kindle, but it's none of my business to tell. I walked to the bathroom door and kicked it. I heard the shower water cut off and the music stop. A few seconds later Kindle swung open the door mean mugging me with water dripping off her body to the floor.

"I think towels was made to dry off with as well as to cover up your body after a shower Miss." I joked eye balling her tattoos and belly piercing.

"As well as pictures was invented to be stared at which mean you can turn your eyes else where" she said as she threw water on me.

I handed the note to her "and this was on the floor awaiting you." She read the note rolled her eyes than threw it away.

"I'll be out in 15 minutes just sit on my bed and make yourself at home" She seemed a little down.

A few minutes later she walked out her room wearing her favorite khaki cargo joggers, a tie dye hoodie and custom made J's. "Can you ever be dull for a day Kindle? I asked as she sprayed polo red on her outfit, but like really she always have on bright colors.

"Can you keep your legs closed Kayla?" she laughed as she dogged my keys that I threw at her.

"Your rude and that's not even funny. I keep them closed" she rolled her eyes

"Come on lead the way to your car I'm ready to go, but where are we going?" her eyes was glued to mine and I didn't want to make contact with them.

"You'll have to see, pick up my keys and meet me outside and don't try to argue with me Desirae just do it." She sucked her teeth but did as I told her to. A few minutes later we was in the car on the way to Tiana house, my heart was beating like crazy.

*Kindles POV*

I wonder where Kayla have us going and how this conversation going to go. The way she stormed out last night made the situation worst because she don't catch attitudes quick like that. I decided not to address it in the car, I'll wait until we get to our unknown destination.

About 20 minutes later we pulled up at a house I've never seen before which made me confused asf. I looked at Kayla but she didn't make eye contact with me. I knew something fishy was up. She got out the car and I followed her. She turned around and looked at me like she seen a ghost.

"Kindle what are you doing??"

"No the question is what the hell are you doing? Who house is this??" I could feel me heart racing from me getting angry. Before she could respond the front door opened and I saw a person I never wanted to see again. She smiled at Kayla and made her way towards her licking her lips

"Hey beautiful what took you so long?" her voice was the exact same from when I last heard it, but the fact she just called Kayla baby just really pushed my buttons.

"Oh baby I was picking up my best friend Kindle, sorry I meant to text you I was going to be a little late, I wanted you two to meet." Tiana looked at me than looked as if she was surprised.

"Oh shit, Kindle Washington is that you? Kindle from Rankin Middle School? Little Sunshine? What's up man how you been? It's been years sense the last time I've seen you" She had a sarcastic smirk going across her lips. Kayla looked confusedly at me than Tiana. I could feel my blood boiling in my skin.

"Don't say anything to me and Kayla don't hit me up anymore, lose my number act as if you never knew me" I rushed off onto the side walk and started walking in the opposite direction. Until I felt Kayla's body in front of me stopping me in my tracks.

"Kindle what do you think your doing what is your problem!?"

"Kayla move out my way" I tried walking past her but she stepped in front of me.

"No what is your problem" before I knew it I pinned her against a fence and had a tight grip on her wrist. I looked into her eyes and saw fear and confusion which made my heart drop. Tears started falling from her eyes and I backed away slowly loosening my grip.

"Kayla I'm so sorry I didn't me-"

I felt a punch go across my face sending me onto the ground a few seconds later I felt a lot of blood rush into my mouth. Tiana was standing over me making a grimace at her bruised knuckles. I swept her legs causing her face to hit the concrete, climbed up her back and put her in a choke hold. She elbowed me 3 times in the head but I only tightened my grip which made her face turn red.

I felt two hands pulling at my shirt, "Kindle stop it your going to kill her! Kindle stop!"

I released my grip than stood up to meet Kayla's face that was covered in tears. I was still pissed off "Kayla stay away from me, and keep your girlfriend further away because next time I wont stop and wont have any mercy to even think about it." I looked at her wrist that had my hand prints on them. I felt bad, but I couldn't be around her if Tiana is her girlfriend.

Before I walked off I looked on the ground where Tiana was laying trying to catch her breath. Kayla run up to me than cuffed my face in her hands. "Kindle look at your face your lip is split let me drive you to the ER or something" I pushed her hand away from my face and shook my head.

"I'll find my own way, focus on her, I wish you the best, Good bye Kayla" I walked away with my lip dripping blood still. How in the hell did Tiana end up her girlfriend?? I caught the bus to the ER and got my lip stitched up. This was about to be a crazy school and basketball year, I just hope it's not like middle school.
