~Carl's POV~

The sun shone through the ripped curtains around me. I groaned in annoyance and turned over, accidentally bumping into Angel. I heard her giggle and push me teasingly back. I rubbed my eyes and looked at her, a smile playing on my lips.
For once, I actually felt like our group was truly safe. It seemed as though no Walkers made their way to our hide out, everyone was able to finally rest. I heard the quiet silence ringing in my ears outside, it was always so quiet.
I had to admit, I did miss the constant noise of the world. Even the birds and animals, they all seemed to just vanish. I sighed and stretched, relishing in the comfy bed we found. I was so relieved when we could actually sleep in beds, not cold and hard floors. Angel laughed quietly and sat up.
"That's probably the most sleep I have gotten in...forever." I agreed with her, my hand rubbing her back soothingly. She closed her eyes and smiled. We had gotten so much closer after the things we've been through, she was really the love of my life. No matter how cheesy that may sound, it was true.
"I love you..", She whispered to me. I leaned down and pecked her lips. She pouted and leaned in for more, but I had slipped out of bed. She grumbled to herself as I rummaged through the piles of old clothes on the ground.
"Your going to wear those clothes? Yuck.", Angel exclaimed. I chuckled and stuck my tongue out at her before being able to find a decent blue muscle shirt. I stripped off the disgusting shirt I had on recently, throwing it across the room. I felt my grin grow as Angel grew silent behind me.
"See something you like?", I teased. I heard her clear her throat and get out of bed. I felt her hand smack by back, making me burst out laughing. She was about out the door when I grabbed her waist and pulled her towards me. She gasped in surprise, her cheeks lit up with red.
I held her in my arms, just looking at every detail of her. I haven't had a lot of time to just...really look at her. Her hair was still in its regular ponytail, I haven't seen it completely down in awhile. I forgot how it looked like that. A few strands fell in front of her face, in which she huffed a puff of hair and made them fall back away.
I noticed the scars that littered her face, the bruises that still had yet to heal. I lifted my hand and touched her cheek. I let my fingers trace down her face and stop at her lips. I loved her lips. She stayed perfectly still, her breathing hitched.
I ran my thumb gently across her lips and smiled. Her eyes stared up at me softly, I loved her eyes. I loved...everything about her. I never knew it was possible for me to feel this way, especially in this world but..it happened.
She wore a over sized sweatshirt, her hands practically hidden by the sleeves. She had on a pair of ripped jeans she managed to find around the house. My fingertips continued down her jaw and to her neck. She bit her lip and looked down. God, why didn't I take the time to look at her like this before?
She looked back up at me slowly, her eyes scanning my face carefully. She tucked a piece of blonde hair behind her hair and laughed awkwardly. I didn't give her time to react as I slammed my lips on hers. I had a feeling take over me, I needed her and only her.
She slowly relaxed into the kiss, gradually kissing me back after a few seconds. I was also glad we were alone in this room..or else it would've been pretty awkward to have somebody walk in.
My hands were at her hips and pulled them against me. I felt her hands lightly go through my hair, gently tugging and curling the locks. I smiled and deepened the kiss. If only we could stay like this forever, our problems just melting away. All the blood, all the pain, all the...walking corpses..just melt away.
I faltered in my kiss as I felt her fingers slide down my chest. Remembering I didn't have a shirt on, I felt her cheeks blaze with heat. I felt mine also ignite, but she didn't pull away. She took her time gently going over the curves and bumps.
I felt Angel start to pull away but, I didn't want that. Who knew when we were going to able to do this again after today. I wanted to make this moment last a little while longer. I wrapped my arms around her and quickly pulled her backwards. She gasped and broke the kiss as I pushed her on the bed.
Her face proceeded to get more heated as she looked up at me. I leaned down and softly pressed my lips against hers. She kissed back instantly, my hands sliding down her waist. I could feel her shiver and smile into the kiss. Her fingers ran through my hair as our lips moved in sync a little more faster.
I pressed against her gently and caressed her cheek. I could hear my heartbeat ram in my chest, it was so loud I was wondering if she could even hear it? I got lost in her lips as my hands went up and down her sides.
I broke the kiss and began kissing her neck. She breathed uneasily, laughing nervously. I loved this about her, I thought it was adorable when she acted like this. I left a trail of kisses down her neck until I stopped at the crook of her neck.
"C-Carl?", Angel stuttered. I hummed a response, letting my lips massage the spot. I pulled back to see her face, which was grinning at me and blood red. I chuckled and pulled her into a hug. She giggled and wrapped her arms around my neck tightly.
"C-Can I try something?", Angel asked. I chuckled at her stuttering and nodded. She let out a breath of air and giggled. I let her push me down onto the bed, watching her gulp. She leans down and her lips are just inches above mine. She stares into my eyes, her hands on my chest.
"Well hello there.", I said to her, making her burst out laughing. Once we calmed down, she leaned down and kissed me. The kiss started slow, but eventually got more heated. Her lips start down my neck and continue to my collar bone. Something about that made me tighten my grip on her. She laughed and started kissing at that spot.
I could felt a moan coming out, what if they heard us? The thought of Angel's lips on me made me let out a quiet moan. Angel continued until she went back to my lips again. What made me lose it was when her hips started grinding against mine.
I gripped her hips and moved harder with her. I heard her let out a moan as she pulled her lips away from me. Before she could do anything, my hand travelled down to the hem of her shirt. I traced lightly up her back, her lips making trails down my jawline.
Before it could go any further, there was a knock at the door. Angel and I climbed off the bed, fixing our clothes and hair before opening the door. The red on Angel's cheeks were still noticeable, but hopefully they didn't question it too much.
"Meeting downstairs. Rick needs all of us." Glenn stated, looking at us. Angel coughed and nodded to him, running a hand through her hair. Glenn narrowed his eyes, confusion on his face. He opened his mouth to talk, but I beat him to it.
"Uh..we should get going. Come on Glenn, before Rick wonders where we are." Glenn nodded and lead the way downstairs. I fixed my hair the best I could, suppressing a grin as Angel turned redder in the cheeks. We saw the rest of the group waiting downstairs, small bowls in their hands for breakfast.
"There you two are. Okay, so we need to discuss our plans now. This place actually seems pretty stable for the moment. I believe it'll be good for us to stay here for another night, maybe even a couple more days. Daryl and I went hunting this morning and found another radio.
This one does not look like it's in that bad of condition, so I should have it fixed by tonight. For now, we need shifts around the perimeter. Angel and Carl, you take the first shift. Glenn and Maggie, look around for more possible supplies around the neighborhood. Hershel and I will stay here for the radio.
For those who are outside the perimeter, only 40 minutes out there. No later, come back. Let's go." After Rick finished, we all went to our jobs. I followed Carl outside as we started walking the fence. There were a few stumbling around, easily picked off by my blade. It was silent between us for a few minutes before Carl spoke out.
"So...back at the house...", Carl said quietly. I shook my head when I heard a smile in his voice. I didn't know what took over me like that! I never acted that way towards someone, never acted that..hungry? I pushed that word away, gross.
I had to admit, it was very...nice. I sighed and looked the other way. I heard Carl laugh, quite loudly, attracting other unwanted guests. I shot him a playful glare and we both got rid of the group of Walkers. I noticed these were more..pathetic than the others.
Their skin was loosely clinging to their brittle bones, their ribs showing through their wrinkled skin. It looked like they haven't eaten in month...why? Carl noticed it too, it was a good sign wasn't it? It had to be.
"Look, I don't know why I acted that way. I'm sorry I did, I don't know what happened.", I apologized quickly to him. Carl moved closer and brought me into a hug. I looked around before curling my arms around his neck.
"Don't be sorry...I loved it. It was damn sure needed." I nodded and agreed with him before letting go. Carl and I shared a quick kiss before patrolling the rest of area. An hour or two seemed to pass, the sun in the middle of the sky now. I could feel the chill of winter coming, would this year be the hardest?
The only good outcome would be having the Walkers freeze until summer came again. Slowly, we could reduce the number of those sick freaks. Carl and I talked on the way back in the house. Maggie and Glenn came back shortly after, their hands intertwined and a small bag of supplies in the other.
"Hershel and I managed to fix the radio, I can't seem to find a channel that works. Anybody want to try?", Rick exclaimed to the group. I walked towards the radio, Rick handing it off to me. I thanked him and took a long look at it. The plastic was cracked and some parts chopped off, showing off the wires.
I carefully twisted the knob on the radio, searching through the static and warped noises. After a few minutes of searching, a voice spoke out in a garbled tone. I set it out, toying with the wires attached on the top of it. Everyone remained silent as I struggled to find a good position for the wires.
"Apocalypse....thousands dead...stay h-h-h-....", I could only hear bits and pieces before it got lost. I cussed out loud, quickly finding the channel again. This time, although static rang in the background, we could hear it clear enough.
"I am Robert Woulm from NBC news. I am here alone..what the hell is happening!? All of the United States has been affected by this..Apocalyptic state. News has reached to me that the government is doing nothing about this state of panic.
No military has been reported to come and help, they left us here to fend for ourselves. Thousands of innocent people have been killed..a majority turning into these creatures. I am the only station up and running still so far, I am alone.
For all those who wait for the Army to come and save your asses..Your all wrong. No one is coming, no one is coming to save us. The outcome is fatal for the human race but..some of you have managed to survive and if any of you are hearing this..please save me.
The power is running out, I have no weapons to protect myself. Please...please I don't want to die like this....I'm sorry but...were not getting saved...", the man broke off signal, ending in static and beeps. My hand dropped from the radio and covered my mouth.
I heard a gasp behind me and cussing. Fear clenched my heart, tears stung my eyes. No one is coming, no one is saving us? This can't be, he has to be lying. Daryl kicked a chair and let it launch to the other side of the room. I was at a loss for words, we were really on our own now.
"Those assholes. How could they let us just die out here! What in the hell is wrong with them! NO!", Hershel busted out. It was unusual for him to have an outburst like this but I couldn't blame him. Rick looked down and shook his head, his fists clenched. What are we going to do now?
"We don't need them anyway. Guys, look how far we've come. How long we have survived out in this shit world. Yes we have lost people, good people, but we've still pushed through. To hell with the government, we should have known they were not going to help in the beginning.
We got our family here, we can do it. I know how shitty this speech sounds but guys..we've survived what most couldn't possibly think of surviving.", Carl spoke out, catching the attention of everybody. When he finished, he looked at me and I smiled at him. Rick took a deep breath and nodded. There was a different feeling spreading through the group.
It was hope..
"So...lets kick ass and keep moving?", Glenn asked. The group chuckled at his response and we cheered. That should be our motto. Rick gave us all a small smile and looked around at all of us. He looked at me with tears in his eyes and smiled widely. I smiled right back, giving him a slight nod.
"What's our first instruction?", Hershel asked with a smile in his gentle voice.
Daryl snorted and walked to the middle of the room. He snorted and cocked his bow back, his smirk growing by the second.
"Why don't we kill of those sons of bitches? Now that's my official instruction..."

I chuckled, Took the words right out of my mouth..
