Chapter 8

"Please! I didn't do anything!" I wailed as they held a gun to my head.

"You've done plenty. If you were never born, then that would have been one less monster we need to kill," The older bald man sneered at me. He was standing across from me while the girl and guy stood beside me. The bald man looked like he was in his sixties while the girl and guy looked in their early thirties.

"I've never done anything wrong. Please, believe me!" I screamed as tears streaked down my face. My face distorted in pain as my side started burning. The girl had jammed a dagger in my side. I let out a ear piercing scream and my knees buckled.

"You did something wrong the second you were born," The girl leered at me then kicked me in my wound on my side. I whimpered and grabbed it, trying to stop the pain.

"Please stop. I'm only a seventeen year old girl," I begged. I don't know why they're doing this. I've never hurt anyone.

"I hope you rot in hell," the guy said with such disgust in his voice, that I cringed. He shot me once in my left leg, and one in my stomach. I was screaming as I curled into a ball on the cement floor. Why are these people so cruel?! He lifted the gun and pointed it at my face. I squeezed my eyes shut for three seconds and the suspense was killing me. The loud gunshot rang out and I knew these were my last seconds on earth.

Would you like to go to lunch with me? Will texted me that morning. We had been texting nonstop for the past week. He is actually very sweet and is getting to know me. We haven't been on a date yet, so this was exciting.

I would love to. I texted back. I had a huge grin as I rolled out of bed.

I'll pick you up at noon.

I guess I'll see you then. I replied then rushed into the bathroom. I have three hours to get ready, but I still had to take a shower. I really couldn't wait for our date. It was going to be really great to go out with him. To go out with a guy who actually cares about me. My separation with Zach still hasn't happened yet. I'm actually starting to think our bond has gotten stronger. I could now feel all his emotions. That means I could feel all his pleasurable nights. It was starting to kill me slowly. The only safe haven I have is when I'm with or talking to Will. He's invited me to hang out with him at he pack house a few times. I'm actually really welcomed there now because I'm a warrior.

Whenever I would go to the pack house, Will and I would lay on the couch all day and just watch movies. It was really nice to just be able to spend the whole day with him. My wolf was actually starting to like him too. I think that because Zach keeps sleeping around with girls, my wolf knows that he's not good for us anymore. I still feel like my heart gets ripped opened every time he's with another girl, but my wolf just recedes deep inside me. She rarely makes any noise anymore. That's the thing that pisses me off most of all. My wolf and I had the perfect relationship until he came along.

Someone knocked on my door around noon and I knew it had to be Will. I rushed downstairs before either of my parents could get to it.

"I'm going out to lunch!" I called as I reached the door. Will was standing there with his boyish smile and it warmed my heart. I smiled at him and stepped outside.

"It's good to see you," he said as we walked to his black Mustang.

"I'm glad you asked me out to lunch."

"Well I did promise you a date. I just hope we can do this more often," he said with a cocky grin. I rolled my eyes but I couldn't stop the blushed that covered my cheeks. He took me to a old time diner and we both ate hamburgers. Ever since I started training, I've been eating like crazy. My already high metabolism is going on overdrive because of all my working out. After lunch he drove us towards the woods. There was a dirt road that led to a clearing.
