Chapter 18

"Do you even realize how much I cared about you?!" Will yelled at me.

"Of course I do. I still care about you too, but I have my mate. He means the world to me and I cannot give that up. When you find yours, you will understand. She will be the light at the end of the tunnel," I said and turned to walk away.

"But I love you," he barely whispered. I had my back facing him as I stood there. The pain in his voice was enough the cause pain to my heart.

"I know, but you will get over me completely when you find that lucky girl," I said then left. I could not stand to be there with a heart broken Will. He was like a sad puppy. All I wanted to do was give him a nice big hug. I walked to my car without turning back.

Where is the most amazing mate at?

Zach mind linked me. I giggled at how adorable he was becoming.

I am heading towards my house as we speak. Meet at the lake?

I will be there in five.

How did I get so lucky with Zach? That is the one thing I have been wondering for the last few weeks. The only thing that is keeping me sane from all the fights with Will, is Zach. Three weeks is how long I have been with him and it is also how long Will and I have been fighting. It seems like he cannot take the hint that I am not going back to him. I truly like Zach way more than I thought I would. He has really been proving himself as a mate lately.

Sure, we still have a few things to work on as a couple. We are both two of the most stubborn people so we can never agree on anything. We have already fought a few times and that is unusual for mates. The pack still does not know about us. We decided that we would keep it a secret just for a little longer.

I pulled up to my house and threw my purse right inside the door before taking off into the woods. I transformed into my wolf and ran as fast as I could towards the lake. It is not never big, more like a pond, but it is our meeting place. I dropped the clothes from my mouth and turned back into my human form. After I got dressed, I walked the rest in human form. It was not as thrilling as the wind through my fur, but I like the nature.

I walked out of the woods and saw Zach laying on a rock by the water. I smiled at how peaceful he looked. I quietly laid down beside him and curled into his side. He squeezed me to him and kissed my forehead. I let out a content sigh because being in his arms made me feel safe. I placed my hand on his chest and rubbed little circles as his wolf let out a slight growl. I tangled our legs and and snuggled even impossibly closer.

"Your scent is getting stronger," he whispered.

"What does that mean?"

"Sweet apples and honey," he said in my ear then trailed kisses down my jawline. When his lips reached mine, passion erupted from the both of us. I snuck my hands into his hair and gave a light tug. "Don't tease me, sweetie," he growled and gripped my waist.

"Me? Teasing you? That would never happen," I whispered sarcastically. I gasped as he flipped us over until he was atop me.

"My little mate likes to lie, does she? Looks like I need to teach her a little lesson." My eyes flew open as his hand went under my shirt and started exploring my skin. "Your scent is so overpowering," he said and leaned down and put his face in the crook of my neck. His teeth grazed my skin and I could not help the tiny moan that escaped.

"Zach..."

"What is it, sweetheart?"

"We need to stop," I whispered and it did not even sound convincing to me.

"I want to mark you." Those words made my blood run ice cold. Something just did not seem right about them.

Do not do it...

The soft words of a woman whispered in my mind. I pushed Zach off of me and sat up. It barely even phased him as he went towards my neck again. I pushed him even harder this time and he gave me a questioning look.

"This is not a good idea," I said and knew in my gut that this was the right decision.

"You do not want me to mark you?" He asked and I saw the anger and hurt clear in his eyes.

"It just is not the right time. I cannot explain it, I just know."

"Are you rejecting me?" I rolled my eyes. Ever since we have gotten together, he has been sensitive Sally.

"No I am not rejecting you. I just think we need to wait a little longer."

"Okay," he said and walked over to give me a peck on my already swollen lips, "I think I will go now. I'll talk to you later okay?" I only nodded as I watched him walk away.

Smart choice, but you need to get away. It is not safe for you. It is only a matter of time before everyone finds out your secret. Go, go to Malicular so you will be safe. No harm will be done to you there. I will be waiting.

The womans voice came to my mind again and this time it freaked me out. What was she talking about? I am not safe here? What secret do I have that no one else can know about? And what the hell is Malicular?

I hope everyone likes this chapter. I kind of lost touch with what I was writing about since it has been so  long. I wass hoping I gave it a little twist. I'll be writing a lot more with my new computer! Anyways, see you my lovelies in chapter 19
