Bill pushed off the snow from a fallen logs and sat down on it. The fog had lessened since the last time he and his brother had been in the forest (when they met Naga), which made things easier to read. Unlike the last time, however, he was alone: Will had left to hang out with Pacifica; it was Bill who pushed him to go, since it was the first friend out of work he made and she was a celebrity! Sure, she was a fake, but at least she made Will happy. He also couldn't help but notice how they were getting close — maybe he was gonna get a sister-in-law very soon! Haha!
Although he was out in the open, he felt safe to read the Journal. He wasn't sure how much Robbie could see — being the all-seeing eye of nature and all that — but he was almost sure that the man had seen them taking the Journal anyways. Nothing happened yet, so he could assume that Robbie wasn't going to snitch on them. But it wasn't the Spirit that he thought about at the moment.
This S. Pines really knew how to peak at Bill's curiosity: all was written with so much passion and detail, excessive information on every supernatural object or creature, each illustration on point, seeming realistic enough to be found on a biology book; the spells were also well-illustrated and explained with detail to make sure whoever read knew what they were about to do. There were even alchemy pages. Much like the author had said, this book really wasn't meant to be hidden. It left him wondering: what kind of danger forced him to hide his Journals? Based on how much had been written (and seemingly rewritten, based on the notes put on certain entries of 'Check Journal One/Two' or 'Update to Journal One/Two entry') he could guess the author was a Guardian, or at least a retired one. But what kind of Guardian would they be? Where were they?
The sound of a growl called his attention. Bill followed the sound with his head with a wide-eyed frown, seeing something big glow in blue. He put his hand inside of his inner pocket (this time, he remembered to bring some sort of weapon along with him) and stood up, slowly approaching while doing his best to hide himself among the trees. The sound of a pained puppy followed, leading Bill to peek out from the tree he hid to take a better look at the situation: in the snow, what seemed to be an Ancient Roman (helmet-less) soldier with white hair and fur over his teal palundamentum cloak and having a golden laurel wreath around his head had been the source of the blue glow, which seemed to slowly disappear.
"You bastard," the man said, a subtle growl (yes, exactly like a wolf's) coming along. "You summoned him?"
Bill turned to where the man looked, finding a gigantic black wolf with red glowing eyes laid on the snow, wounded, almost dead even. Near the wolf stood Robbie, the Spirit of the Forest, in his true form of black fur with white bull horns and claws, snow attached to his skin, with a wooden guitar on his back, attached by what seemed to be branches covered in snow. For the first time, the Spirit didn't look chill calm, didn't give his usual smile nor had a laid back posture — instead, he had his fists clenched and his eyes glowed a matching red to the wolf on the snow, who seemed to be as surprised as Bill was at the way Robbie looked.
"FATHER!" the wolf was so loud that Bill coiled and covered his ears, being sure he'd still hear it anyways. "I am glad you heard my call—!"
Bill blinked in surprise. Father? Robbie had children? He didn't know embodiments of concepts could have kids! Isn't this interesting?
"How dare you?"
The two present seemed as surprised as Bill was. "You think you have the right to be seen as my kid after what you did?"
The wolf coiled. "But father—"
"Do not call me that."
For someone as angry as he was, Robbie somehow managed to look as calm as usual. His hands opened as his claws seemed to get sharper. "You betrayed us," he raised his head slightly, looking down at the wolf. "And you even had the audacity to insult me."
