32-That's All I Ask

Namjoon POV

I'm sitting back and watching as Y/N, Tae, and Kookie are playing Mario Kart; she's beating them so badly, it's so funny.

It's been a little over a month since I brought her back home where she belongs, and she looks happier and healthier than before. She had talked it out with her mom and was staying with her and Shin for the time being and somehow it was still too far away if you ask me. Unfortunately, she was not able to sign up for in-person classes this semester on time, but she found an online class option that she can take to finish her degree, which will help with flexibility with our busy schedule. I didn't realize how much of my life she had become in a short time until I almost lost her. I am still fuming at what the Manager did, but I don't have to worry about him anymore. Once we were home, we (all 7) went and talked to Bang PD and told him what he had done, that we would no longer work with him. Him or us, of course, he agreed that his behavior was unacceptable and he was let go immediately. I also with the support of my Bangtan Brothers, announced that I was going to Bond with Y/N. We discussed when would be a "Good Time" to have the 2-month media blackout & leave. We agreed to a 2-month media blackout, but the leave will only be a month. The second month, we will be working on the new album, and Y/N will be by my side the whole time. It felt like everything was falling into place.

Breaking my thoughts, Yoongi flops down beside me.

"How's it going?"

"Good" I smile

"Good to have her home," Yoongi says smiling

"And safe, thank you. I know I have said it before, but I really appreciate what you did in the states."

"I didn't do anything you wouldn't do for me or any of us."

I hmm in agreement as I look around the shared apartment that I loved and that contained a big portion of my life and career.

"Do you ever think about getting your place?" I ask

"Hmmm, yes all the time, but I like living with you guys, I think I would be lonely. Imagine what I would do if I had a place all to myself?" He laughs. "Now that I think about it, I kinda would like that."

"Lonely?" is the only word I heard. Yoongi's words hit me "I would miss all this craziness, but it would be a welcome change of pace."

"But you wouldn't be alone, you would have her." he nods to Y/N.

'You wouldn't be alone, you would have her.' Yoongi's words from earlier ring in my head as we sit in the back of the car headed to drop off Y/N.

"Everything okay?" Y/N looks up at me her big brown eyes shining.

"Yeah I was just thinking about when we bond"

"Oh Yeah, And?? Something wrong if you want to change your mind and go with the original plan...(her voice drops to a whisper) I would be okay with that." She tries to smile, but I can see it in her eyes; she would mind....not that I changed my mind.

"Oh no it's not that. I was thinking where we would live."

I watch as the smile finally reaches her eyes and the tension leaves her body.

"Okay just know that if something comes up and you want to wait please tell me I will understand."

"Nothing is going to keep me from bonding with you. But me living at the dorms and you with your mom won't work as well as you moving into the dorms." I say "Maybe its time for us to get our own space."

"Can you do that??" she asks in disbelief "I thought you had to be there for filming and for the group."

"Yes, I do have to be there for filming but not all the time. We could find a place close to the dorms and I would have to spend a night or two there now and then, depending on the situation but I can always come home to you when filming is done." Thinking about having our own space and coming home to her makes my heart beat faster and I am excited to start this part of my life. "You haven't thought about this?"

"Yes but my focus has been on looking for a job and school, not that us moving in isn't important," she rambles. "I just want to make sure that I can help out financially."

"You know I have money right?" I remind her.

"I know but that's your money. I am not after your money and need to know that I can hold my own" she says softly, wringing her hands in her lap with her eyes down.

I grab her gloved hand in mine and her big brown eyes lift to mine and our bond connection fills me with understanding "Yes I know you are not in it for the money and can 'Hold Your Own,' but I want to provide for you. I want to support you in your dreams and help you achieve them. I want to provide a life you deserve; that's my dream."I realized as I was talking that we had moved to where we were inches from each other. All I want is to close those inches and kiss her. Her eye flits down to my lips and....the car comes to a stop we snap out of the pull and I looked out the window and we are at her place.

"Just think about it. I know you want to hold your own and I love that about you but I want to take care of you. Start our life together as smoothly as it can in this area because there is going to be so much that you are going to have to deal with."

She smiled "okay I will think about it"

"Thank you, that's all I ask."
