My great grandfather was asked to attend a special veterans rememberance for all world war 2 veterans, and on the flight home, they recieved suprise letters from their family. This is what I sent in. I hope someone reads it and likes it.
I was asked to send a letter in,
To our dearest veteran.
While others were dreaming,
You fought for our freedom.
You've never let us down,
That's why you take the crown.
You didn't stop believing,
Even when the worst of times were seen.
Our country owes you,
For never once letting go.
You were the light in the darkness,
And your light shines the brightest.
