The weight of the world,
Seems to just sit there.
It rests upon your shoulders,
An unnecessary burden.
Doesn't life know,
You have other things to do
Than take care of it's problems.
Can't it ever just give you a break?
My shoulders seem to sag,
My thoughts start to lag.
The weight is almost crushing,
But it's barely begun.
Maybe this is a test,
To see who can hold it best.
Part of me hopes to prevail,
But wouldn't it be easier just to fail?
