Little disclaimer this was before my cheerful life ended, so the person you see here is far happier than the person I am now.

Okay, moving into this nice little flash back. I was in 8th grade, at my best, and only, friends house, Colton Johns. We've been best friends since birth, literally, We were born on the same day in hospital rooms right next to each other. Our dads couldn't handle the "beauty" of child birth so, they both went out into the waiting room and bonded over their love of sports.

So, here we are now, the both of us laying on his couch arguing over which social media was better. "Obviously it's Instagram!" Colton exclaimed. "No, it's Twitter!" I rolled my eyes, "Instagram you have to post a photo, but with Twitter you can tweet a witty caption" He laughed, "You're mental, the photos are the best part." I smiled shaking my head, "maybe to you, you superficial man hoe" Colton clutched his hand over his heart, acting as though that comment had stung him. "How rude of you to say," he smirked, "You must pay for your actions against the Capitol." I rolled my eyes, even though the Hunger Games came out a year ago, he was still hopelessly obsessed. "You're such a nerd." I replied repressing a smile.

"And you are still going to pay" he said smiling and slowly getting up from his side of the couch. Just then it struck me, I knew what he was about to do. I immediately got up and began to sprint across the room, Colton being faster than me, was able to catch up easily. "Colton, please don't," I start as I feel all the wind get knocked out of me. "Don't what?" He grinned pinning me on the floor. I braced for impact, know that he was about to do it, his hands slowly made there way to my waist, and it happened... He began to tickle me.

"Colton!" I screamed after what felt like ten minutes of him torturing me. "Yes, Freya?" He grinned at me, "How may I help you." My Blue eyes looked into his bright green ones, "Could you pleeeeaaase stop tickling me!" I shouted as I tried to wipe away my tears.

He sighed, "If I must." He gave me a look of defeat as he got up, giving me his hand. I grabbed on to his hand as he hoisted me up, I felt kind of bad for him, I wasn't the skinniest girl out there. At the age of 13 I weighed around 153 pounds, I didn't need to lose weight it's not like I had anyone to impress.

I stood up and looked around at the familiar sights of my best friends living room.  His family was middle class so they had some decent furniture, multiple game consoles, and a nice TV. But what really caught my eye every time, was the piano. He had an amazing, beautiful piano in the corner of his room, I was madly in love with it. Colton on the other hand despised it, his sister, much like me, was a prodigy. She's amazing, better than some professionals... Or she was. She had a full ride scholarship to Julliard, but at one of her recitals a crazy mass shooter came in and shot her and 10 other people.  Ever since then he's hated the piano, blaming it for his sisters death. It would have been collecting dust if it wasn't for me.  I slowly made my way to the piano and skimmed my hands across the keys.  I heard Colton suck in a breath behind me. "I'm Sorry." I muttered in a low voice. He furrowed his brown eyebrows, "For what?" I turned to him looking down at the floor, "For playing the piano." Why would you be sorry for that, you're amazing." I looked into his emerald eyes taking a deep breath, "I feel like you resent me for it." He let out a small laugh, "Why would you think that?" "I... I've seen the way you look at me every time I play." He walked closer to me and wrapped me up in a tight hug, "I'm sorry."

"Aw I'm sorry baby." I heard a familiar woman's voice behind me. We stopped hugging and I turned around.  It was Colton's mom, she was a beautiful woman, she had bob length brown hair and emerald eyes. Colton resembled her to a tee.  "Hello Karen." I said smiling brightly.  Colton was staring at him mom with a weird expression. "How are you feeling honey?" She asked giving me an apologetic smile. "I'm feeling fine," My smile faltered, "Why?" Karen cocked her head to the side and replied, "Has he not told you?" I looked over at Colton, his gaze was turned towards the ceiling.  "Told me what?" I asked carefully. "That we're-" She was cut off, "Hey mom, can you give us a ride to Jordan's house." She looked taken aback, "uh sure sweetie" She replied sounding a bit confused.

Now we were in the car on the way to Jordan's house, one of Colton's basketball friends.  "Why are we going to Jordan's house?" I whispered to him from the back seat. "Party." He replied. I stared at him with an alarmed expression, "You just asked your mom to drive us to a party." "Don't worry about it." He smiled.

"This is our stop." He said already flinging the door open, before the car had rolled to a stop, causing Karen to slam on the breaks.  "But isn't Jordan's house another block down?" She questioned us suspiciously. "He moved here last week." Colton lied.  "Oh um okay." "Oh, and this is a no outlet road so you'll have to turn around." He stated.  "Alright, call me if  you need pick up or anything." She said already putting her car into reverse. "Bye love you!" I called out to her.  "Oh Karen, sweet gullible Karen." Colton said laughing as we walked down the street he had said was "no outlet."

"Are you nervous?" Colton questions.  "Why would I be?" He chuckles, "Well, this is your first party isn't it?" I look away blushing, "Yeah."I muttered under my breath. "So are you?" He prompted. "Well of course I am, I don't know how to deal with this." I justified.

So now we were here, at the house.  It looked as every stereotypical party that had been depicted in any movie, there were red solo cups on the lawn, people drunkenly making out near trees, and even a few people hunched down on the floor vomiting.  "Don't worry," Colton said with a reassuring smile, "I won't leave your side." With that we entered the party.

I would have believed Colton if it wasn't for ten minutes later he had wandered off with some friends and I was now alone.  The inside was crowded and a mess, in the center of the room there was a snack table filled with chips and alcohol, under the table was a drink cooler which I assumed had water in it.  I was about to approach the table, considering I did not have any dinner and wondered when I'll go home, when a man stopped me.  "Hey there pretty lady." He gave me a sly smile, his breath reeked of alcohol. I awkwardly tried to avoid him, almost tripping on the way around. "Where are you going?" He shouted and stumbled to get near me. My eyes widened in fear and my chubby self hauled ass.

Now I'm alone again, sitting in the corner of the room watching women and men dry hump anything they can get there hands on. Why was I here? I could walk home, but that would take too long and I was far too out of shape.

"Yo, are you wasted?" A voice came from above. I slowly tilted my head up and saw a girl with chestnut hair and bright Hazel eyes. "What?" I reply stupidly. "Like are you drunk? She repeats, adjusting her big, black rimmed glasses. "Oh.." I shake my head, "no." She looked at me questionably, "Well let's get you drunk." She grinned widely. "W-w-what?" I stuttered. "You heard me." She smiled again, extending her hand. I contemplated this for a moment, on one hand, I don't know her and she could be a freaky kidnapper that's interested in my brains, And on the other... I would drink alcohol for the first time and maybe embarrass my self.

Yes, I am ashamed... I took the second option. Me and this mystery girl were now on the way to the table from before. "Is this your first party?" She asks, pouring herself a drink and then mine. "That obvious?" I shakily pick up the cup. She lets out a loud laugh, "Well Alice, let's review the facts, one you were in a corner of the room, two you were not drunk." I stared at her, "My name's not Alice..." The girl was already chugging down her drink, "Well you look like her." I blinked, "Who's Alice?" She gave a smaller laugh, "Alice from Wonderland of course" she wasn't wrong, my skin's so pale it was almost translucent, my hair is one of the lightest shades of blond you could have, and I have a vibrant blue eyes.

"Bottoms up!" The girl grinned holding her cup up to cheer. I bit my lip and followed her actions. "Yeah." I replied weakly bringing the cup to my lips and taking a big gulp. "Do you like it?" She asked. "What the heck is this!" I gagged. She laughed and pored more, "who knows but let's get drunk." "Wait," I paused before drinking anymore, "who are you?" She smiled again, "Oh, right haha, My name's Arizona, I'm in your science class," She was? I don't quite remember seeing her, well in her defense, I do sit in the front of the room where as she most likely sits in the back. "Oh" I reply stupidly, "I'm Freya." She took another drink out of her red cup. "Well, Freya, this is the start of an amazing friendship." "Yeah, I guess." Honestly after tonight I'm not sure I'd ever hang out with her again.
