"Okay," Gen said softly. She was worried that it was going to hurt, though. She remembered Ana telling her that sex in real life wasn't anything like what it was in the books. It wasn't as good.

She'd also seen a video on the Internet where the girl had talked about how uncomfortable it was and how she hadn't enjoyed it at all. How she hadn't had an orgasm, and the entire experience hadn't even been all that pleasant.

That was the part that freaked Gen out some. She'd never had an orgasm in her life, and she really wasn't looking forward to the first time. Maybe after that, it would be better, and she'd learn to eventually enjoy it.

Why had she thought she could randomly have sex with some guy before she died and enjoy it again? Probably because she knew it never would really happen. But now, there was a very big chance she'd be having sex with this guy sometime in the very near future, and while part of her wanted to, because he was hers and she wanted to be with him, the other part of her was nervous about the entire experience.

"What are you thinking?" Lincoln asked her quietly, his left hand stroking her thigh now.

Her gaze moved down to his hand, watching him move in lazy circles over it. Even that light touch felt good. "I kinda just want to get past the first time. I've heard it kind of sucks," she admitted.

His hand stilled, and he tilted his head. "Who told you that?"

"I just saw it online," she explained, wondering if she was blushing again. Was she going to spend the first few years of life with him blushing all of the time? She hoped not.

His hand started to move again, going back to tracing those circles. "Are you dreading it?"

"No?" Liar. Well, maybe not entirely.

He chuckled. "Are you not sure?"

She lifted her gaze to him. She barely knew him, but just sitting here on his lap, letting him touch her, felt so right. If he wanted to have sex with her right then, she'd have a hard time saying no. She was that drawn to him. She'd do it just for him.

'Why say no? We're going to at some point. It's inevitable,' Jules pointed out.

'Do you even think he wants to?' Gen asked her.

'Uh, yeah. You're his mate. Of course, he wants to mate us. Ask him,' Jules suggested.

'Ask him what?'

'To mate us,' Jules said.

'Now?!'

'Why not?'

"Gen?"

Her gaze snapped up to Linc's, and she saw amusement in his eyes. She probably looked like she'd zoned out when she'd been arguing with Jules.

"You okay?"

"Jules. She's... embarrassing," she muttered, her gaze moving down to his lips.

Jules rolled her eyes.

Linc laughed. "She doesn't see a point in waiting, does she?"

She looked at him and blushed again. How did he know that? "Her philosophy is that it's going to happen. Why wait?"

"Yeah, Maddox feels that way too," he said with a chuckle. "I told him to chill out. I don't want to freak you out."

"I don't think you could," she admitted with a small smile.

His lips parted, and he pulled his phone out of his pocket, glancing at it. "Almost lunch." He sat it down and looked at her. "Can we play?"

"Play?" What did that mean? Video games? She doubted it.
