Chapter 12: Return of a Lost Friend

Sorry for not updating for a long time. I was really busy with my other school work and that I was helping a friend on her story. Oh and also I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT I ACCIDENTALLY DELETED THIS CHAPTER, SO NOW I HAVE TO START ALL OVER AGAIN!!! *piss off*

I would like to say thank you for ArcticDesertJoy for mentioning me in one of her chapter.

For the last three days, the throne room is finally fixed. After the chaos between the Witches, controlling the Princes of Egypt at will, and the arrival of Shadowfire. 

(Note: They used magic to make the fixing faster and easier.)

The Pharaoh has order his guards to take the Witches away and will be holding a trail for using dark magic and destroying Braveheart village.  The Pharaoh filled in everything that has happen to his sons. Why Honda was assigned to go to Braveheart village for the past four days, and also...to find the gifted sighters.

"But father, why weren't we inform of this? And what are those gifted sighters anyway?" Atem asked.

"We heard and learned about Braveheart village from one of our studies, but never about these 'gifted sighters'." Yami added as well as the two prince stare at their father for more answers. Their father just look at them and sadly shook his head.

"I'm afraid I don't know it either. Only that I was inform by the chief of that village to take care and protect them at all cost. I don't know why, but after the destruction of Braveheart village from those Witches. I think we will be able to get some more information out of those two and tell them what the 'gifted sighters' are, and why they want them so badly."

The two Princes just nodded, before Yami said, "We could also try asking Shadowfire for his assistance. Since he seem to know about them." 

"Hmmm...That is true."

"Then should we try finding him, father?" Atem asked.

"Yes, I think it's a good idea. He did indeed said that he's going to be searching the area around the palace. It should be easy to find him if we start looking."

The Pharaoh just nodded at them as his son also nodded back at him. Agreeing to search for Shadowfire. 

"Alright, lets search for him" Yami said to his older brother, but before they could open the door of their father's office. The door slam open, revealing Honda. Unfortunately, the door's force was a bit too much that it actually smack both Yami and Atem faces and drop them to the ground. They groan in pain as Honda quickly ran to their side. Apologizing them from that little incident just a second ago. 

"Oh my Ra! Are you alright? Please forgive me. It wasn't my intention to harm you, my princes."

"Oh my. Are you alright? My prince." Someone touched Yami's forehead. Which somehow cause Yami to like the soft touch of this person's hand.  He look up at the person and took a intake breath. Yami's crimson eyes stare deep within Yugi's amethyst eyes. 

"Ummm...."Yami was speechless. He couldn't help, but feel something within his chest. He doesn't know why or what it is causing him to feel like this, but it seem to get stronger as Yugi draws closer to him. As Yugi was trying to see if there are any other injuries that needs to be inspected.

"I don't think it's serious. Just a bump on the forehead. Nothing to worry about." Secretly, without anyone looking (exception for Heba), Yugi cast a small healing spell on Yami's forehead. He did the same thing to Atem's injuried forehead as well. 

"Ummm...thank you for your concern. Yugi."

"Of course. My prince."

Yami blushed a bit at Yugi's charming smile, before quickly turned away from him. Trying to cool his face and his heart. Key word. Trying. 

"Yugi, Heba. I'm glad that you two are safe. The attack from last night performance was unexpected. I hope that you two were able to get escape the chaos with the other guests." 

"Yes, my pharaoh. We were able to escape the chaos from those Witches and lead the other guests to safety." Yugi replied back to the Pharaoh.

Heba then added, "The other guests have either left or stayed within one of the guest chambers. My pharaoh."

" *nodding* I see. I might have to visit them and personally apologized for the destruction that the Witches have caused with my sons birthday party. Oh, and sorry for your birthday being ruined my sons."

"Don't worry about it father. And why are you even apologizing? It's not your fault or anything." Yami questioned his father.

"Yeah, dad. Don't blame yourself for it. For all I know we should be blaming those darn Witches. Our birthday was actually boring. Except for the performance that Yugi and Heba have made." Atem said. 

Yugi thanked Atem for praising them for there performance, and was about to say more before hearing something outside. Yugi turn and ran to the Pharaoh's window balcony and saw his long lost friend.

"RAY!" 

The hawk cried and swoop down before landing on itself on Yugi's wrist. 

"Wait! You have to protect-" Yami was about to quickly said more, but stop himself. What he saw surprised him. The hawk gently and carefully landed on Yugi's wrist without scratching or clawing him with it's talons. Yugi hold on to the hawk as he happily hug it within his arms. The hawk cooed. Also happy to be reunited with his long time friend.

"I miss you, Ray." Yugi couldn't help, but let the others see his glitter, teary eyes, but didn't let them fall. He hold on to Ray gently, but still hold him securely.  Couldn't believed that his long, and trusted friend has returned. 

"Yugi. You are just full of surprises." Yami whispered to himself, but the others sill heard him. As they continue to enjoy the scene in front of them.
