Chapter 16: Birth of Feelings

Okay everyone! Listen up, the next chapter is going to be an Author's Note concerning about some events that is going to take place in the next few days. Which means I'm not going to be here for a while. The Author's Note will explain everything.

Back at the palace. Yugi woke up from his slumber to see Ra's ray has just broken through the night sky of the Goddess Nut. There he lay in his own personal servant chamber, connected next to Prince Yami's chamber. Yugi's chamber contains only of a medium size bed, a table for small possessions, and a medium wardrobe for his servant clothing. Yugi's routine is always waking up when Ra appears, stretching until his bones crack and pop, and getting ready for another day to get over with. He open the doors to Yami's chamber. Yami's chamber is bigger than his, since he is in the higher rank than him. The Prince's chamber contains a king size bed, his working desk, a chest fill with many kinds of games, a large wardrobe, with beautiful clothing and fabrics, and finally. A open, window, balcony,while each sides hang clear with white curtains, that has a clear view of Ra whenever the mighty god set his way to the stages of being Reborn once again the next day. Prince Yami has everything that he could possibly gain. Even his mother's portrait stood by him on his nightstand. Yugi walk quietly to the king size bed to see Yami's peaceful face, asleep. Yugi giggled a bit before gently shaking the Prince to wake up.

"Yami. Yami, wake up." Yugi whispers.

Prince Yami's eyes finally open before sitting up. Yami look at Yugi before smiling at him and said, "Good morning Yugi. Did you enjoy sleeping in your new chamber?"

"Yes, I did."

"Good. Now, I must tell you all the rules of becoming my personal servant and that I would have to show you the palace hallways, and it's corners. I wouldn't want you lost within your new home."

"Alright."

"Oh, and please call by my real name when we are only together. If we're in public then you 'must' call me formally. Personally, I don't like being called by my title. It's really annoying."

"Really, how come?"

Yami sadly smile at Yugi, which made Yugi thought that he has upset him.

"Oh! I'm sorry for making you feel upset. Please forgive me." Yugi bow at Yami. Yami quickly told Yugi that he was not and started explaining him why.

"You see. Since you are in a lower rank than I am. And if you call me by my real name in front of others, such as the nobleman, Kings, or any other high ranks, than they'll think that you are being disrespectful and would greatly punish you for that. I don't like seeing people being punish. Especially if they are my friends."

'Including you, Yugi.' Yami thought.

"Oh." Yugi look down, and felt a bit sad about letting others punished those how didn't do anything wrong. What's the harm of saying a friend's name.

"It's okay, Yugi. As long as we're together alone, I'll gladly let you call me by my real name. One of the reasons why I hate being called by my title is the feeling that I am better than anyone else."

Yugi smile happily at Yami.

"Thank you, Yami."

Yugi smile happily at Yami, who quickly look away because of Yugi's strong and bright cuteness. Ending up having a full blushing face. Yugi was confused from the sudden action, but didn't think much about it. Something came up within Yugi's mind, so he turn back to Yami and asked, "Yami, may I be excused. I want to check on my brother for something."
