I couldn't sleep that night. After that horrible outcome that has occurred hours ago. I twisted and turn within my bed to, at least, get a better position to rest. But my mind is still in turmoil and a jumbled of mess. So I decided to just lay there, awake, and listen to any sound that may penetrates the dark night.

"Who are you?" I whisper. Clearly getting this feeling that someone is watching over me.

No reply, or appearance.

I narrowed eyes. I decided to sit up from the bed that I am currently using, while the white sheets slid off my bare chest and down to where my waist. I lay my hand on a golden knife that I secretly hid if there was any trouble.

"Show yourself, or I'll call the guards." I cautiously search my surroundings for any movement. I have been training hard on my swordsmanship to fail on this easy task to find my enemies' concealment. Slowly, the shadows shifted as the intruder's shadow slowly move towards me. I am surrounded in the Goddess' moonlight, so the other would need to step out of the darkness and into the light. I began seeing his body form, but it looks too feminine to be a guy. At the same time, the intruder is wearing some kind of cloak that completely cover his hands, arms, and legs. The only body skin that I can see are his bare, and pale feet. His movement is too soft and quiet that I'm surprised I was able to caught him while hiding. I was mystified by this person because when the moon's light finally hit the surface of his face; I couldn't help but widen my eyes. He was breathtaking. The way the moon reflect off of him is like a shining crystal glowing beautifully when the light bounces off of it. His mask is pure white; just like his pale skin. Even though I can only see the bottom half of his face I knew that he would be more beautiful than the way he is right now.

'Wait? What!?'

I blush a little. Surprised at the sudden thought that came over me, but quickly shrugged it off.

'Right now, I need to know who he is and why he is in here.'

"Who are you?"

The stranger shuffled a bit; obviously nervous. What made me curious and confuse is a small blush coming from him. It covers a little on his pale checks, but I can still clearly see it.

'He's cute.'

When I said that in my mind his blush grows crimson, while moving back a little. That's when I reveal the knife that I was hiding and pointed at him. My face turn serious, while the other froze his steps. I slowly lift off the covers and cautiously walk towards him. My knife raise to his neck if he tries to do anything. He didn't even flinch when my knife is only a mere centimeters away from his throat.

"I'm going to say this one more time. Who are you?"

He was unfazed by the cold tone that I am using, but answered my question anyway.

"I am known as Moonlight."

"Moonlight?"

"Yes."

I continue to stare at the stranger until I asked, "Why are you wearing a mask? Yours look identical to the other stranger that we have last meet."

"You might have been referring to my other companion. Shadowfire."

"Your name is quite unusual. I'm surprised that someone would use a name that does not even existed. Is it your true name?"

"No."

"Mind if I know your true identity."

We pause the conversation, before Moonlight said, "No."

My knife went even closer to his neck after my request has been rejected.

"You know. I still don't know you too well, and I also don't know your real name except for the fake one. I'm feeling suspicious that you might be one of my father's enemies. Even though he shouldn't."

"Fear not, I am on your father's side as I am to you."

"Then take the mask off. If your on our side at least reveal yourself to my request."

".......Forgive me."

I was confused, which cause me to let my guard down as Moonlight swiftly crouch low and kick the knife, that I was holding on, to the other side of the room. I stumbled back a little from the sudden attack, and was about to alert the guards until Moonlight caught me. He put his index finger upon my lips and said, "I won't hurt you my prince. You have to soon understand that I am assign to protect you from any further dangers. It is the Pharaoh's wish."

I growled angrily before I decided to turn the table. I push myself against him, which he quickly step back from the sudden closeness before I roughly spin him around with both of his arms behind his back. I tighten my grip on his wrist as he hiss from the pain. While doing so I made sure to wrap my other arm around his neck.

"You know what, I'll just rip that mask off your face for you."

"No!"

Under his sleeves appears two silver blade, which caused me to retrace my hands from getting cut.

Moonlight made sure to keep his distance from me.

"I thought you said that you are on our side."

"I am.....its just."

The blades went back under his sleeves. Before he started to step back from me even more.

'He's a complete opposite from the other newcomer!'

Moonlight stare at me, before taking a deep breath.

"I may not be that strong as the other, but that doesn't mean I cannot fight in order to protect you, my prince."

When he said that, he made a dash towards the open balcony.

"Wait!"

"But its already to late. He's already gone.

'Should I trust him?'

I turn to retrieve back my knife that had been kicked to the other side of the room.

'Or should I not?'

I twisted the blade so that my reflection can be seen. Showing my confusion and determination at the same time.

'Your identity may be a secret for now. But that will only lead me to becoming persistent.'

I turn back to where the newcomer was last seen and said, "Moonlight. I'll find your real name if it is the last thing I'll do."

And you can bet; I won't lose to this game.
