Chapter 27: The Truth

Two months later~ Night Time

The silent sound of the palace sent an eerie feeling to both Yami and Atem. Though they are separated and are sleeping in another room. They still know that the other is awake. Yami decided to visit his brother and was about to get up from his bed if it wasn't for the sound of doors being open. Cautious, he pretended to sleep, but open his eyes half way to see who it was.

'Yugi?'

Yugi tiptoed to Yami's bed to check if he's awake. Yami quickly closed his eyes and pretended to sleep by cuddling closer to his pillow. Yugi smiled at the cute scene before opening and closing the doors.

'Where is he going in the middle of the night?'

Yami heard Yugi talking to someone. Obviously his brother. Yami couldn't hear much but muffling sounds before it stopped. Yami got up and pull off the cover to see if they were still there. Gently, he open the door. Also finding Atem looking around for the twins.

"Atem?"

"Yami?"

Both the Princes open the doors and began asking each other questions.

"What are you doing up so late?"

"I was wondering the same things as you were."

"Heba left my chamber, so I wanted to see what he's doing in the middle of the night."

"Same. They were whispering with each other."

"Know where they're going, Yami?"

"Not a clue. Let's try looking for them."

"Sure."

Yami and Atem began searching for their personal servants. At the same time, they try to avoid the guards from catching them or they'll be force back within their chamber room. Just when they were about to give up. Atem was able to spot Hera's form disappearing from the corner.

"Found them." He whispered.

They both quickly follow behind them before finding them entering inside their father's chamber.

"Why are they inside father's chamber."

"Think they got an invite or something?"

"Possibly."

"Really? In the middle of the night? Being all sneaky and trying to avoid the guards from spotting them? Who does that?"

(Me: You two.)

"I don't know. Hopefully, our questions will be answer soon enough."

"Yeah, hopefully."

Silently, they open the door, just slightly, of their father's chamber to see the twins standing in front of their father's desk. Akna spoked to them in a low whisper, while the twins listen carefully. Unfortunately, the princes couldn't hear anything of what their father is saying.

"I can't hear what he's saying!" Atem hiss lowly.

"Shhhh! Keep it down!" Yami hissed back. They continue to look through the peep hole until the twins finally nodded and began walking towards the library shelf. Yugi placed his hand on a small symbol and was about to activate it if it weren't for his brother's interference.
