Ouran High School Host Club Preferences

You Flinched-

Tamaki Suoh-

You were just reaching for your tea when a book fell loudly from a shelf nearby. You flinched, body tensing, eyes wide. Tamaki noticed instantly, his heart breaking at how scared you looked.
He didn't rush over. He approached gently, kneeling beside you.
"Mon ange... it wasn't me. I would never hurt you. You're safe here."
His arms didn't wrap around you until you leaned into him, and when you did—he held you like something precious, his voice like a lullaby in your ear.

Kyoya Ootori-

You accidentally knocked over a glass and flinched hard, your breath hitching, body bracing as if you expected yelling. Kyoya's eyes narrowed—not at you, but at the thought of someone training you to fear that.
"I'm not angry," he said calmly. "And you didn't do anything wrong."
He gently took your hands in his, noticing how they trembled. He didn't pry—he just stayed with you, thumb softly stroking your knuckles as he waited for your breathing to settle.

Kaoru Hitachiin-

During a minor disagreement, his voice got just a little too sharp—habit, not anger. You flinched, shrinking back like you'd been burned. Kaoru's heart dropped.
He backed off immediately. "Oh god... I'm so sorry, did I scare you?"
You nodded, tears welling. Kaoru's arms pulled you close.
"I'm not him," he whispered. "You don't ever have to be afraid with me. I'll never raise my voice like that again."

Hikaru Hitachiin-

He reached toward you too fast while excitedly explaining something. You flinched, a soft gasp escaping you. Hikaru froze mid-motion.
"...Did someone used to hit you?" he asked softly.
You looked away, ashamed.
He sat beside you slowly, hand hovering until you nodded. He cupped your cheek with such gentleness it made you cry.
"No one should've made you afraid of hands meant to love you."

Takashi Morinozuka-

A loud noise startled you, and you instantly tensed, ducking your head. Mori noticed the shift and moved closer—but not too close.
You glanced up to find his hand gently resting on the floor near yours, not touching, just there. A silent offer.
When you placed your hand over his, he carefully pulled you in.
"Safe," he murmured, pressing a kiss to the top of your head.

Mitsukuni Haninozuka-

Honey was excitedly telling you about a cake recipe when a sharp bang from the hallway made you jump and cower.
He stopped mid-sentence, worry instantly clouding his face.
"Did something bad happen before?" he asked softly.
You nodded.
He wrapped his arms around you like a teddy bear. "I'll always be gentle. I'll protect you from the bad stuff, okay?"

Ritsu Kasanoda-

When he accidentally bumped into you a little too fast, you flinched hard. Ritsu instantly looked horrified.
"Wait—was that because of me?"
You shook your head, embarrassed. "Old habit."
Ritsu's hands shook slightly as he offered them up, palms out.
"Can I touch you?" he asked softly. You nodded.
He pulled you into the most careful hug you'd ever felt. "You're not gonna have to flinch anymore."

Yasuchika Haninozuka-

You flinched when someone in the hallway slammed a locker, and Chika instantly dropped his teasing expression.
"Whoa. You okay?" he asked gently, moving beside you.
You tried to brush it off, but he wasn't fooled.
"You don't need to act tough with me," he murmured, holding your hand gently. "I like the soft version of you, even if she's scared sometimes."

Umehito Nekozawa-

During a stormy night, thunder cracked and you flinched violently, hugging your knees. Nekozawa—already sitting beside you—noticed immediately.
He didn't say a word, just slowly took off his cloak and wrapped it around your shoulders like a protective spell.
"Mon chéri... the darkness isn't here to hurt you anymore," he whispered. "Not while I'm near."
