Amber***

Amber's POV:

Just as I'm cursing the day that girl was born, Mitch walks into the bathroom.

"Mitch..." I breathe. "She-"

"I know..." Mitch mutters. "I saw her tell Kim and Fran. How the hell am I going to explain myself to her?"

I grab Mitch's shoulders.

"Listen..." I whisper. "We're going to go out there....and we're going to lie-"

"Lie?" Mitch nearly shouts, putting a hand to his head. "Amber....we can't. I told Ni everything....I was drunk the night of the launch party-"

"And it was stupid!" I shout, staring at him, "But I feel like the past year has literally been revolved around mending your relationship with Kim. Are you really going to let Ni ruin all that? Well.......are you?"

Mitch takes a deep breath. He looks at himself in the mirror.

"You're right..." He says. "But you shouldn't have played me, Amber. All this and just because you played me for Jordan-"

"That's not true!" I blurt out. "Mitch, Sam lied to you! He lied to you so you would marry Kim."

Mitch looks at me with all the horror in the world.

"So...." He stammers. "So-"

"I really did love you. I did." I admit.

Mitch just rolls his eyes.

"I don't know what to believe, Amber." He sighs. "But....what's the point? What's the point of saving this with Kim?"

That's when I slap him. My fingers colliding with his cheek. Too sudden for me to think about what I'm doing.

"Wake up." I mutter, as Mitch holds his cheek. "We're going out there and we are lying...."

Tears fill my eyes.

"You never showed up on my doorstep." I mumble. "Your only intention....was to.......marry Kim. Okay?"

Mitch's cheek is red.

I think he deserved that.

He sighs before wiping the tear from my cheek.

"I'll do anything that makes you happy." He mutters. "But I hope you remember today. Today was the day that you broke my heart forever."

My heart races at these words. I gesture for him to go up to the door as I wipe all signs of crying from my face.

We get out of the bathroom and find the table I was sitting on with Kim but only Fran is there.
