The message on my phone sends soft daggers, like ice, down my spine.

Danielle means everything she is saying and she's not taking sh*t from me any longer.

Okay, I didn't mean to mess up the date with Jordan, it's just that he's on another level of annoying.

And I can't stand the fact that he just insults Perri randomly as if it doesn't matter.

Does Jordan just expect to get together with me and come into Reid and Topaz's life?

They're going to be so confused, they're not going to know who their Dad is anymore!

And then I'm dealing with Mitch who almost destroyed his wedding because he had feelings for me.

But I have to suck it up and go to his house because it's for my job, and also my relationship with Perri and everyone else at Danceworks.

Even though it's such a waste of my time.

"Reid," I say, chucking my phone onto  the table. "You're going to Nat's house. You and Topaz."

"Really?" Reid says, getting all excited. "I'll go get my stuff."

I kiss Reid on the cheek and then manage to pry myself from the chair.

I take Reid upstairs, get him ready and then get Topaz ready while he stuffs some toys into his backpack.

I put Topaz back in her cot who is still sleeping. I hope Natalie won't mind that I'm dumping my kids yet again at her house.

Remembering my situation, I regretfully walk to my room. When I take a look in the mirror and see my tangled mess of hair, I want to kill myself.

My dream of a lazy day drifts away as I get into the shower, washing my hair. I climb out, get into my dressing gown and legit spend thirty minutes in front of my wardrobe trying to decide what to wear.

"Mum!" I hear Reid shout outside my bedroom door.

"Reid, just give me five minutes!" I shout back.
I don't mean to take long, but what if Danielle expels me for not making an effort?

She's crazy like that.

I finally decide on a short, silk white dress with some flowery patterns on it. I slip on some brown flat shoes and then start speed blow drying my hair like my life depends on it.

After makeup I spray on some perfume-a little too much because I start to cough loudly.

"Mum, are you okay?" Reid asks as I struggle out of my door with my bag.

"Yes babes, I'm fine..." I say.
