"Oh! So you don't want to be my husband?" Lee Know nodded, even though he couldn't see him.
"Not if I'll be old and wrinkly by the time you ask me." Hyunjin huffed. Lee Know stifled a laugh. He deserved that. "I think it's time to go now. I'll see you in a bit, and we can have that talk."
"Okay, Prince. See you in a bit. Love you." He said.
"Bye." Hyunjin hung up with a snicker. Lee Know quickly called him back, shaking his head. Chan, beside him, heard everything and finally let out his laugh.
"He'll lose his mind next month. I think he'll actually faint when you propose." The oldest said.
"He will. Definitely." Lee Know smiled, checking the ring one more time. Hoping it's one of the last times he sees it, before it's on Hyunjin's finger. Then he stuffed it in a sock, doubling it up and putting it in his undergarment drawer.
"You sure he won't check? I'm not asking for you. I just don't want you guys spoiling my engagement." Chan asked wearily.
"Don't get your panties in a twist. He won't find it. He doesn't need to go in here. Where did you hide your's, Mr. Smarty Pants?" Lee Know asked, crossing his arms over his chest and raising a brow.
"On the tool shelf in the second garage. I.N barely drives, and he sure doesn't use tools for anything. He makes me put everything together for him. Don't worry, no one can see it because it's too high, and the only other people who use tools are you and Changbin. You know he's not gonna say anything unless he wants us to tell Felix." He'd clearly thought a lot about it. But not enough for Lee Know's liking.
"And Hyunjin, you idiot. You know he likes working with his hands." Chan's eyes widened as if just remembering. "Yeah. But you're talking about me." Lee Know huffed. He shook his head while Chan rushed to find another place to hide his engagement ring for I.N.
Lee Know, Chan, and Changbin picked out rings together, knowing they'd be the ones proposing. Seungmin and Jisung were another story. But it was cute that they'd be surprising each other. Lee Know helped them both pick out separate rings. Only Hyunjin, Felix, and I.N had no idea about the plan to propose on the same day. But the date was already set. A month from now.
Going downstairs, Lee Know told the others who were lounging around that, "Hyunjin will be here in a bit."
"Yay! I missed him." Jisung quickly said, sitting up.
They waited eagerly for him to get home, talking in the living room, but after a while, he still wasn't back. It was usually only 30 minutes from the airport around this time.
"Where is he? He's not back yet?" Chan asked Lee Know, stopping the others' conversations.
"Let me check." Lee Know replied, texting him. But it couldn't be delivered, so he grew more confused and checked his location. He watched as the picture didn't move, so Hyunjin must've been sitting in traffic. "I'll call him." He said, starting to ring his phone, though when it went straight to voicemail, he was getting worried. "You try him." He told Chan.
Chan quickly took out his phone, giving him a ring too. It also went straight to voicemail. "Maybe his phone's dead. It looks like he's on the highway. They're probably stuck in traffic." He said, remaining level-headed.
