"Our fans are so funny. They think their ships have sunk because we didn't marry who they thought." Han laughed out loud.
"I saw that. Some of them are happy, though with our chosen husbands." Seungmin said.
"And some are still preaching and screaming that we're OT8 for having our weddings on the same day." Hyunjin commented.
"They would be correct. Too bad we can't tell them. I'm sure they'd love it." I.N said proudly.
"Oh, I'm sure they would. But the world would flip on its ass if it knew the eight of us were together." Hyunjin replied.
"Yeah. The rest wouldn't be able to handle it." Han nodded. "We already lost a small percentage of fans when they found out we're all gay."
"The way I take it, they were never fans then." Lee Know said confidently.
"You're right. Most knew already." Hyunjin shrugged.
"Hey guys, we're about to head out!" Chan yelled, coming down stairs with a bag in his right hand. "We're staying in Incheon tonight." Chan told them, Felix following behind him.
"Okay, have fun, you two." Hyunjin called as everyone waved, watching them leave.
"Why are we going to Incheon?" Felix asked the older curiously. He hadn't mentioned where they were going for their date before just now. He tried to think of what was all there for them to do. There's a lot, though.
"I rented a stay there." Chan said evasively.
"But I didn't pack anything." Felix quirked his brow at the man as he was dragged to the car and placed in the passenger seat. Smiling, Chan also buckled him in.
"I know. I got everything you need." He said, settling in the driver's seat and buckling up before backing out of the garage.
"How do you know that?" Felix asked.
"I know you." Chan replied smugly.
"Okay, Innie's husband." Felix joked, grinning at him.
"Hey, hey. We may have different husbands on paper, but you're still mine." Chan said, affirmatively.
"I know." Felix beamed.
"It's about an hour away with traffic, so get comfortable." The older told him. "It'll feel like a little piece of home, just for us."
"Australia in Korea? Now I'm more curious." Felix said, stunned. Chan laughed, answering his questions but not giving away everything just yet.
After a jam session on the way, they pulled up to a beach house. Getting out to walk through the sand to the front door, it really was a piece of home. The water, with calm waves flowing before them. The silence except the ocean. The smell of the salty sea.
"Thanks, Chan. I love it already." Felix smiled beautifully, blinding Chan while making his heart stop.
Was this what they meant by beauty is pain? He thought.
But he just winked, setting the bag down after opening the door with the code he was sent. They looked around for a minute before Chan suggested, "Let's go for a swim first, shall we?"
Felix nodded enthusiastically, digging into the bag Chan packed for swimwear.
He pulled out the swim trunks giddily, undressing in the living room as Chan smiled, shaking his head and grabbing his own.
The beach is quiet, the sun just beginning to dip behind the horizon, as they stepped back out. Chan kicks off his slides, letting the sand sift between his toes.
