The doctor confirmed he had retrograde amnesia, having forgotten most of his memories over the last four years. It's possible that he forgot more from previous years, but from 2021 to 2025 is where he's drawing a blank. They would take time to come back, from months to years, if they ever do.
When he was finally allowed to go home, he was glad to see it was the same house, but different. Decorations, photos, aged stains, plus wear and tear, he should know about. Everything was so familiar, but not at the same time.
The members were the most different of all, though. Not everything, but little things. No braces, longer hair, so many toned bodies, even his own. Aside from their appearances, it's what they do. He'd only had to be home for a single week to notice it.
He doesn't know what he was expecting or looking for to know what is the usual, but it always feels to him that they're changing how they act for him. Like they're hiding things from him.
When he walks into a room, they stop talking. Subjects change mid-conversation. They cut off words before fully getting them out. Some of them seem more touchy than they used to be, and sometimes it's weird or awkward.
Then they do things that make him question if they're just making fun of him.
Like when he went through his clothes, he found some interesting stuff, so he asked the others if he had a girlfriend. Cause what other reason did he have for keeping female lingerie?
But he did not expect the answer.
"Uh, no. You don't have a girlfriend." Han snorted, almost spitting out his drink.
"Are you sure? Cause why else would I keep this?" He held up a pink female lingerie brand gift bag.
He didn't show them what was inside, but he emptied the drawer into a bag because he was confused about why it was in his room.
"We're positive." Felix said nervously.
He didn't believe them, so he went through his new phone's contacts. He didn't see any new people, and other than the members' weird names, it wasn't anything interesting. They replaced his phone since his other one wasn't found in the wreck. But they did go through it before giving it to him when they backed it up. Though he doesn't think they'd hide that from him, right? And he hopes he wouldn't hide a relationship from them as well.
"Hyunjin. I wouldn't throw them away just yet. If your memory comes back, you'll regret it." I.N told him, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"When my memory comes back. And why?" He corrected.
"Just trust me." The younger told him.
"No, I'm throwing it away. You guys need to stop playing with me. It's not funny." He said, his eyes glistening.
"Hyunjin. We're not. I promise." Lee Know told him.
"Then why would I keep this?! Huh?" He was gonna cry if this was a shîtty prank.
"They're yours, Hyunjin. You like to wear it occasionally. The first time you did, you said they were comfortable." Lee Know finally told him.
The others looked at the older man like he was some kind of idiot.
"Mine?! As in I've worn this! H-how? What?" He squeaked so high that everyone cringed. "Wait, no. Even if that were the slightest bit true, how would you know?" He asked more level-headed.

FanfictionI tugged on the silver chains around my wrist, locked to the headboard. "We've decided that if, or when, we need to punish you--it will be together." Hyunjin informed me. "Is that so?" I growled out because he was still riding me like a horse, so I...
