you're just a little bit out of my limit
i drove luke and i to the theatre in my black civic. he seemed nervous and i found it utterly adorable. when we finally arrived, i grabbed his hand and intertwined my fingers with his as we walked. he looked at me and smiled.
"so what movie do you wanna watch?" luke asks me while we line up for tickets.
i shrugged my shoulders in response, saying he could choose. we ended up agreeing on inside out, since we both had a soft spot for Disney movies and had heard it was good. i paid for both tickets, insisting that luke pay for nothing. we then proceeded to walk over to the concession and buy popcorn and drinks.
"you like butter on your popcorn right?" i ask luke, glancing up at the menu.
he nodded his head enthusiastically, assuring me he didn't like butter-less popcorn. we ordered the treat with layered butter and a medium coke. walking into the theatre, we realized only little kids with their families were here. we laughed at ourselves for our childishness, but sat anyway. during the movie, luke's eyes started watering because of a sad scene. my arm was around him and i rubbed his shoulder comfortingly, only slightly giggling. he hits me lightly on the arm, embarrassed.
"aw, don't be afraid to cry lukey." i whisper. i then peck him on the lips.
he pulls back, grins and kisses me again, more passionately.

"i liked it! don't judge me," luke said giggling in the car next to me.
"it was actually a great movie." i agreed with him as we parked. we got out of the car, hand in hand and enter menchie's. my absolute favourite place to go. luke's never been and i just had to show him what he was missing out on. i decided to get the nutella flavour whilst luke chose cake batter. we got numerous toppings, which included sprinkles, chocolate chips, frosted animal cookies, and fruits. luke went absolutely crazy at the toppings bar.
"there is just SO MUCH to choose from!" he exclaimed excitedly. i laughed at his enthusiasm, putting my arm around him. after i paid and we had finished our frozen yogurt, we finally arrived at home. we changed into comfortable clothes and sat on the bed.
"i had an amazing time tonight, ashton. thanks for everything." luke said, breaking the silence.
i swallowed nervously, about to ask luke the question i'd been wanting to ask since 3 weeks ago.
"do you want to be my boyfriend?" i ask, looking into his bright blue eyes.
he blushed and grinned widely. then he did something i would've never expected him to do. he grabbed my face in his calloused hands and kissed me. like really kissed me. not a petty peck on the mouth, an actual, meaningful kiss. i returned it graciously.
"did that answer your question?" he asked, biting his lip once again.
i laughed and pulled him with me underneath the covers.
