what doesn't kill you, makes you wish you were dead
got a hole in my soul growing deeper and deeper
day 14 without luke. it's been pretty lonely, but i hang out mostly with coll and it's not too bad. i miss luke like crazy though. sometimes i find myself going crazy. i'd see something funny on tumblr and think to show him, but he's obviously on another continent. i wish he was here to cuddle up to while watching how i met your mother. hopefully luke misses me too, but probably not since he's most likely having the time of his life, he's in a freakin' photography school for Pete's sake.
after i was done moping, i decided to call coll and invite her to go for lunch. it was Saturday afternoon and i was bored as hell. grabbing my phone and pressing on her contact, she answered almost immediately.
"wanna hang?" we both ask at the same time. i giggled, lately we've both been feeling lonely and we have been having the same thoughts.
"yeah well i'm hungry af. let's eat somewhere." i said while changing into an old flannel shirt i think luke had left behind.
"how about Luna?" coll asked after a moment of silence.
"isn't that were you and luke hang out all the time?" i asked, an eyebrow raised. i didn't wanna replace luke, and I obviously couldn't. he was 1, way CUTER and 2, so much better than me.
"yeah, but i'm lonely and the food there is good." coll said so carelessly i could imagine her shrugging.
eventually, i agreed and soon enough coll and i were at the quaint café shop thingy called Luna.
we ordered and i got salad while coll got nachos.
"how's life without your significant other?" coll asked me as she chomped a nacho.
"sad, how about you?" I asked while twirling my fork around in the plastic bowl of salad.
"its eh. at least we have each other." she smiled at me and hit me playfully.
i laughed, a subtle snort escaping me.
coll instantly burst into a fit of giggles.
"I'M SORRY I SNORT WHEN I LAUGH." i said rather loudly. she laughed even louder. soon enough people around us were starting to get annoyed. an old couple nearby gave us dirty looks and moved away.
"excuse me miss, you and your friend have been causing a disturbance for the other customers. i'll have to ask you to leave." a prissy lady with a blonde topknot on her head told us as she chewed her gum loudly. coll stifled back giggles and picked up her purse and grabbed my hand as we exited the restaurant.
"you're so rowdy, damn it!" coll told me as we walked down the street under the hazy afternoon sun.
"you're out of control!" i told her in an uptight nasally voice.
she laughed for what seemed like the 1000th time and stumbled, leaning on me for balance.
"i swear to god, one day you're gonna end up in a mental institute."
Sorry this was so short!! I just thought ashton and coll bonding over loneliness was cute.
