Anica shoved the front door shut and collapsed on the couch.
"Anica! You're getting the couch all wet!" Skyler complained. She had already been seated on the couch while she watched tv.
"I ran home." Anica stated.
"Why?" Theodora asked from
across the room.
"Cause I freaked myself out by thinking that the serial killer was going to get me and chop off my ears." Anica placed her hands over her ears.
"Wait. So there is a serial killer?" Skyler asked.
"Yeah," Anica said quietly, "I went and saw Mort. You guys, he stabs them in the leg, slices off their ears, then pushes them out of his car to bleed out, alone. It's sounds ridiculous, but it wasn't a pretty sight."
"That's terrible."
"Did you go to the station too?"
"No, but I did run into some Feds. They brought the FBI in."
"Are you sure they were FBI? What if they were like... Hunters?" Theodora said, lightening the mood in the room.
"The sound official to me..." Anica stood up and got her laptop. She turned it on and got on Google.
"There names were Dr. Spencer Reid and S.S.A. Derek Morgan." Anica typed as she talked then pushed enter, "Oh, they are official."
Anica showed them the mass amounts of articles that popped up on Google.
"They work for a part of the FBI called the BAU, behavioral analysis unit. They pretty much specialize in catching serial killers." Anica said. She clicked on images and started to notice how good Agent Morgan really did look. The lighting of the coroners office did not do him justice.
"Dibs." She said quietly.
Then the TV switched to a news alert and a nice looking, blonde, BAU agent was on the screen telling the public to be aware of some serial killings and that women between the ages of such and such should not travel alone, and if anyone had any leads to call a then given number.
"Well there goes my story." Anica flung her hands in the air.
They all watched the TV screen as reporter after reporter fired questions at the agent, and she handled them each respectively.
"I'm so not happy." Anica stated. Then her phone went off.
"Hello?" Anica talked to the person on the other side, "Yes, I knew."
Pause
"No I'd don't have a story ready."
Pause
"I will try to have one by the day after tomorrow, any sooner and I won't have the facts."
Pause
"I'll try. Bye, sir." Anica hung up her phone, iPhone 5c, named Bean.
"Who was that?" Skyler asked.
"My editor. I need to have a story by sooner then the day after tomorrow apparently." Anica got up and started putting on shoes.
"Shoes?"
"My feet are cold." Anica shrugged. She grabbed a different jacket.
"Where are you going now?" Theodora asked.
"The police station."
"Be careful."
"Yeah don't get kidnapped and killed." Skyler said.
"I won't. I do have Pixie." Anica referred to her .32 cal. pistol that was no bigger than her hand.
"Okay bye."
"Bye!" Anica walked back into the rain.
If she was going to have a story ready she needed to get her facts which meant that she needed to go to the police station. She kinda doubted she could get in. There would probably be tons of reporters there and not to mention regular citizens and other journalists.
Then as she walked there she saw the bakery and got a marvelous idea. She went inside and bought a good amount of doughnuts. She was really careful and covered them up with plastic bags to keep the rain out.
When the police station came into view it was just as Anica thought. There was a bunch of people kinda meandering around the station. They didn't get to close cause an officer was sitting next to the door to keep unwanted people out.

...so I had this idea and I love it and since I failed to mention it earlier on here it is now: Anica is an anonymous writer. She writes articles at home and sends them directly to the Editor. He places them in the newspaper under the name Fly on the wall. The only people that know are Skyler, Theo, Mort, the editor, and the police chiefs ex wife. Her articles sometimes expose terrible truths and other times gives a spotlight on someone/thing not usually in the spotlight. Like the mailman.
Her being Anonymous means that she can get into places that no other reporters can. Thanks sorry....

Anica walked right up to him.
"If you have an idea about the killer please call 1 800 000-0000. " he said like he was having the opposite of the time of his life.
"Actually I figured you all were pretty busy and stuff, so I brought doughnuts." Anica opened a box, "and since you're out here you get first pick."
"Thank you so much!" He immediately took a bearclaw and Anica went into the station. Who ever said doughnuts weren't the way into a police station was a fool.
The police station was the usual kind of busy. The only difference was the usually empty back conference room was in use.
Anica could see the BAU team through the glass that separated the conference room from the other noise. She watched them talk about something as she put the doughnuts down next to the coffee machine.
Anica was most interested in the blackboard with the victims on it. There was the four Anica knew about, then the fifth, Bree. Above a picture of her was written, in big bold letters, ALIVE.
She took out her note book and wrote down the names and ages of the victims, with a star next to Bree's name. Then continued her observations of the BAU team. She found herself watching Derek, a lot. He was interesting and not too bad on the eyes. He played on Anica's side hobby of art. She would love to draw him. In a totally non creepy way.
She met the eyes of Agent David Rossi. (She had done her research and knew all their names) Anica smiled and waved and he raised an eyebrow.
Then, Dr. Reid stood up and started talking using big hand motions and pointing at pictures set on the table. Everyone nodded and it seemed like they had come to a decision.
Anica's eyes lingered on Spencer. There was something similar about him. Maybe she was just getting stuff from earlier at the coroners that she also getting now and her brain was just confused, or she had missed something earlier in the coroner's terrible lighting.
The BAU team exited the conference room and called all the police to come over and talk to them.
Anica stayed in the back to listen.
