Anica woke up. She saw a blank ceiling with tiles. Her foot throbbed. She looked down and saw it was in a cast.
Her eyes were then drawn to a couch across the hospital room where her two bestest friends sat.
"What. In the HELLS WERE YOU THINKING?!?" Skyler stood up.
"Why would you go to a serial killers house?" Theodora said.
"Really? No glad your okay? And it was a possible serial killers house." Anica stated and laid back down on her pillows, "How long have I been out?"
"A couple days."
"Seriously?!?"
"No. Just eight ish hours." Theodora smiled.
"Oh."
There was a knock on the door and Dr. Spencer Reid came in.
"Spence!" Theo jumped up and hugged him.
"You know him?" Anica asked.
"Well.. Yeah. He's my cousin."
"What? When did that happen?" Anica asked.
"When we were born..." Theo said.
Two other people followed Reid in. Penelope Garcia and SSA Rossi.
"If you excuse us ladies we have some questions for Miss. Farmer." Rossi smiled.
Theo and Skyler left the hospital room with Reid.
"I want you to tell me about what happened yesterday evening." Rossi said and Garcia recorded it.
Anica went over it with them. The house, where the ears were, what happened at the cave. She ended when the EMT's arrived.
"Anything else? Do you remember after that?"
"Just De- Agent Morgann helping me out." Anica wiggled her casted ankle.
"It has also come to our attention that you are a journalist."
"Yes?" Anica glowered inside. She wondered who told them.
"I've read a couple of your articles. They are really good." Garcia smiled.
"Thank you." Anica couldn't help but smile back.
"For futures sake were going to ask you not to write an article on all that you saw and heard. We don't want anyone sharing shared feelings with the unsub to become a copycat."
"That's fine. I wasn't planning on writing an article on Jasper anyways. Too many people are already spinning their own stories." Anica shook her head.
"What are you planing on writing about?"
"You guys. The yang to that yin. Please don't tell me I can't, because I'll have to ignore you." Anica smiled.
"No you can. I trust your writings."
"Awesome thanks." Anica smiled.
"Well I do believe that is all we have." Rossi said.
"Which is great cause, I need to check out. I already spent one night here and that's a pretty expensive bed to sleep in." Anica grimaced as she wondered what the bill would be.... Her insurance would maybe cover it.
Rossi left the room and Garcia went to follow him. She paused at the door and then turned around.
"Sooo.... You and Derek are on first name basis?" She smiled.
".....no... Not really. He never said you can call me Derek..." Anica was more scared now than she had been during the entire talk with Rossi.
"I'm not a profiler so I'm just going to go straight to the point do you like my baby?"
Anica had no idea how to answer that.
"He's your boyfriend?" She finally asked.
Garcia laughed. "Oh no sugar. Just the man of my fantasies. I mean he's like the big brother I never had, but we flirt, but we'd never date...." Garcia realized that she couldn't explain their realationship.
"You're a squish." Anica summarized.
"Squish?"
"Like a platonic crush. It goes beyond bromance or best friends. Like the Doctor and Amy Pond." Anica hoped she could translate.
"You watch Doctor who?" Garcia got all excited.
"Watch? No. Live? Yes," Anica smiled. It was always nice to find someone who shares your insanity.
Garcia smiled again.
"Okay, but you never answered my question. Do you like SSA Derek Morgan?"
Anica felt like a sixth grader.
"....Since I've know him less than twenty four hours I can't really say...." Anica started.
"Cmon! Is there something there?"
"....yes. But it's not like you guys are staying here, and the BAU headquarters is across the country. I've done long distance before and I wasn't really a fan." Anica blurted.
Garcia smiled, "You are right. Anyway you'd move to Quantico?"
Anica raised an eyebrow. "Maybe if I got a job offer. A good one or if there was a reason for Skler or Theo to move there."
"Okay." Garcia smiled.
"Why are you asking me?"
"Because it's been awhile since Derek has had a crush on anyone and I ship it."
"But you don't even know me!"
"I did a little bit of stalking." She smiled, "I have to keep my reputation as a computer hacker don't I?"
"Okay?"
"It was nice meeting you. See you later." Garcia left.
Anica stared at the door. It dawned on her that Garcia had said Derek had a crush on her. With a smile on her face she went about getting on normal cloths and checking out of the hospital.
