Skyler and Theo watched the First black SUV peel out. The second one was still loading up.
"Spenc!" Theodora yelled.
Her cousin stopped as he got into the car.
"Please let us catch a ride! She's our friend and she's in a possible dangerous situation!"
Spencer looked away.
"Sorry, but bringing you would put more people at risk and we haven't had time to catch up yet." He looked back at her and smiled. Then slipped into the car and shut the door behind him. The black SUV pulled away.
"We should let them handle it." Theodora said, "That's what they are trained to do."
"But Anica..." Skyler said.
"She will be fine. She's not stupid."
"Can we at least walk in that general direction?" Skyler asked.
"Yes. Yes we can." Theodora said.
They began walking. In the rain.
The rain clouds blocked out wverything but if they didn't then you would have been able to tell that the sun was setting.
Yes I know. It shorter than the last one, but filler chapters are a thing and yes. Yes the next one will maybe be longer... Or maybe it won't. But at least it's many minis at the same time right?
