||Chapter Seventeen||

Abhimanyu's pov
I watch as Shanaya struggles to put her earring into her ear. She was late for the ceremony where she supposed to be escorting the bride to the altar. Shanaya has draped herself in a green & pink sari. She looks beautiful. She stops in front of me and shrugs,attempting to put the earring in. Slowly, I put her sweet-smelling hair in front off her ear. I watch as she realizes what I've done. She smiles and mumbles a "thankyou" before she rushes off to join the bride under the red veil.

Rohan's pov
Shanaya looked over at me, her nose turned up, her face just as pretty as it has always been. "You are" I mouthed at her before fanning myself with my hand. "You are" she mouthed, then made a gesture that resembled vomiting. I grinned at her before walking off to talk to my father.

Shanaya's pov
As I approached the altar I noticed that Abhi still had my earring. I walked over to him, telling him to give me my earring back. Abhi simply shook his head, smirking. "Come-on Abhi!" I mouthed. He shook his head again as I attempted to pry my earring from his hand. I feel a hand on my shoulder, so I turn around to see Rohan standing there, beckoning me to join him. I shook my head, wanting to get my earring off Abhi first. "Please?" Rohan pleaded, grinning his famous boyish grin. In spite of myself, I smiled. I took Rohan's hand as he pulled me away from Abhi. In that moment I realised that Rohan had changed for good. Oddly enough, I felt weird for leaving Abhi behind.

Abhimanyu's pov
As Shanaya attempted to pry her earring from my hand, I studied her features. Her eyebrows were scrunched up in determination, her lips pursed and her eyes were the shocking shade of brown that I loved. Shanaya turned as Rohan grasped her hand. As her hand left mine I realised what I had lost. I was empty, with a heart aching for Shanaya to return. I watched as Rohan whispered in her ear, and she giggled. Rohan & Shanaya sat down at the altar, behind Arjun( A/N Arjun is Rohan's brother) Rohan pointed at his brother and his sister in law, stating that he and Shanaya would get married like that too. I watched as Shanaya grinned, then slapped his arm. I turned away unable to admit it.

I have a crush on Shanaya Singhania.
