I watched as Abhimanyu's eyes drifted over to Shanaya every few minutes. I was sitting in an Algebra classroom, and instead of paying attention I was observing Abhimanyu's behaviour. So far he had glanced at Shanaya ten times, enough to confirm my suspicions. "Shruthi Pathak will you pay attention!"Miss Sharma's voice screeched, pulling me back to reality. "Sorry Miss " I mumbled, staring at my textbook. As I exited the classroom I watched Abhi. He was looking at Shanaya & Rohan laughing. My suspicions had been truly confirmed so I marched over to where Shanaya was sitting. "Hey Handsome! Shanaya dekho tumhara boyfriend aagaya ( A/N translation- look your boyfriend is here)" Rohan teased as I approached. "You'll pay for this later" I said to Rohan, "Come on Shanaya let's go". I watched as Rohan kissed her cheek and walked away.

"What's up?" I said to Shruthi, "Oh sorry about Rohan" I babble. "Just listen"she said, clearly annoyed." I've been observing Abhimanyu's behaviour and I think he likes you" she stated. "Abhi? Are you mad? It's because of him that Rohan and are closer. No way." I replied. "Just think about it ok" she said, walking into the corridor. I walked over to Abhi just before the bell for 4th period rang. "Abhi!" I called. He turned around. "Morning" i exclaimed. He began walking again. "Abhi listen!" He turned around again, slower this time." I wanted to thank you for the Thailand thing" I stuttered. "Yeah, its not a big deal" Abhi stated bluntly, avoiding my gaze. " Is everything okay,like you know, between us?" I asked timidly. "No Shanaya. Everything is not okay like, like between us" he stated, looking me in the eye. "Uh Abhi main Rohan se pyaar karthi hoon" I stuttered ( A/N translation- Abhi I love Rohan). "I know Shanaya, are you telling me or yourself? Look I'm here to make my future, to win the Student of the Year competition. I just got distracted for a bit. Now no-one can get in my way" With that he turned around and walked away, leaving me feeling more alone than ever. I'd lost Abhi.
