|| Chapter Twenty One||

Lately everyone had begun studying really hard, all so that they could get into the top sixteen in the Student of The Year Competition. Personally I didn't mind, studying took my mind off Shanaya which was something I found quite difficult. It was awkward in our group now. Shanaya seemed to spend less time with Sunaina. The few times I saw the two together Sunaina's face was always distraught as if she had committed some terrible crime. Let's not forget the situation with Shanaya and I. I think she's smart enough to know that I have a crush on her. Though I try to avoid her as much as possible, she seema to be doing the exact opposite. It's nice of her to try, but honestly I can't deal with it. "Abhi!" Rohan exclaimed, clicking his fingers under my nose. I looked up from my textbook, frowning, before continuing with my studies. "Abhi!!" Rohan exclaimed again, tapping my shoulder. I continued to read the paragraph. On the first of January, 1901 Australia was federated. The Australian flag was also chosen in this day. "Abhiii!!!" Rohan whined. Without thinking I put up my index finger, smirking slightly. Rohan jumped on me and we began wrestling. "God Rohan stop it will you!" a girl's voice called from behind us.

I yanked myself off Abhi ( A/N that sounded really wrong aha) to see Sunaina standing there. Her brown hair was tied in a messy braid, with strands flying over her warm chocolate brown eyes ( A/N Thanks @sabrinakyfong). "Sunaina? What's up chicka" I exclaimed. She rolled her eyes at me and then said "Sh-Shanaya's looking for you". I studied her expression, she seemed lost, confused and hurt. "Oh okay" I mumbled, waving to Abhi.

I walked back to my dorm this time with Rohan next to me. I felt a zap of electricity go through me. I realised that Rohan had taken my hand in his. "Rohan, what are you-" I began. "Are you okay Sunaina?" he asked softly, whispering on my ear. The small gap between us has disappeared and I was pressed against his chest. "Rohan, please let me go" I pleaded pathetically. He shook his head, "Answer my question Sunaina. I'm worried about you" he said, sending my heartbeat racing. "Well okay then. Well I'm not okay Rohan, I don't I will be unless I tell you" I started. "Okay, tell me." he said. "well I feel really bad for Shanaya because, B-because I really really like you. And she knows, that's the worst part" I muttered before I could stop myself. "Wait, what!" Rohan exclaimed. "You heard right. And I feel so bad for Shanaya, I'm a terrible friend!!" I exclaimed, clearly panicking. "Hey, Sunainu it's ok. I mean if you didn't already know I well, I've always liked you" he mumbled, his cheeks flaming red. "Really" I said, cliche, I know. "Really" he said, grabbing my waist and pulling me closer. His hands wiped the tears from my cheeks- I hadn't realised I was crying. Rohan put his arms around me in a tight embrace This time I didn't move away. This time, I held on tighter.

A/N
There has been some confusion on the characters so here is a clear up.
Rohan Nanda: The Rich Kid, most popular at St Teresa's Highschool Dheradun. Dating Shanaya Singhania but is in love with Sunaina. He is known as a player/bad boy. (the actor who plays Rohan is Varun Dhawan)

Abhimanyu Singh: The New boy at St Teresa's Highschool. Best friends with Rohan. Crushing on Shanaya Singhania. He is an orphan, his Grandma is his parental figure. ( actor who plays Abhimanyu is Sidharth Malhotra)

Shanaya Singhania
The popular diva of the highschool. Most desirable girl in the school. Bestfriends with Sunaina and Shruthi. Dating Rohan.

Sunaina
Bestfriends with Shanaya and Shruthi. Crushing on Rohan. Very straight forward and determined. (actor who plays Sunaina is Ileana D'Cruz)
