The chief raised his hand to the sky. A look of worry spread across his face. "What is it Father? " Fira asked quietly. Peter stood confused by them watching every movement the chief made. The chief turned abruptly, and said, "Daughter, gather all the people into the town hall. It's meeting time. He marched of before Fira could reply.

Fira sighed. "This is worrying me. " Fira mumbled, hugging herself. Peter said nothing. He stared up into the sky. What he saw caught his breath. The sky was slowly digressing into an orange color. Dark streaks of blue were strangling the light. Peter gasped. He grabbed Firas hand. "Something bad is coming. " He studdered.

Inside the town hall, the room was in a buzz. Everyone had obviously noticed the drastic change in the sky, and were huddled together, conversing in frightened tones.

Peter stood in corner leaning against the wall. Fira was next to him, shaking. She had a feeling that the sky was not promising a thunderstorm but something much greater.

The chief finally walked up to the great circular table and cleared his throught. Though his face was pale, he stood tall and brave.

Everyone looked up and the talking receded.

There was a long science before the chief spoke. I was on pins and needles, waiting to hear the news.

He held up a large scroll and finally spoke... "This scroll has been around far longer than we have. It has been passed down for years, foretelling and warning us about dangers soon to come. One of them was the biggest. The worst. The one that I have allways avoided, hoping it would never be a reality." He began to open the scroll. He paused as he searched for the right part. He read it. " At the light of the setting sun, on the 8th month, in the year of the Dawn, -Thats now, - The sky will darken into an orange striped with blue. Presently the world will shake. Your world and another will colide, everything being separated and ruined. Everyone will be thrown to other sides of the world, never to be found again. "

The chief shook as he read this. He took a breath and slammed his hand against the table. "We cannot let this happen! " He shouted so loud. It was shocking for Fira, since she had never heard him like this in her life. She turned pale and shrank further into the corner. Peter held her hand tightly.

People became loud again and the shouting just made things worse. "We have to find away to stop it! " someone yelled. "But how? " The chief asked. Peter stepped boldly forward, showing no trace of fear, though inside, he was shaking. "I don't think there is anyway to stop it. But we must all try to stay together! If the matter comes where we are separated, we have to find each other! We cant give up! " He hollered above all the peoples cries. Babies wailed. Suddenly a burst of thunder shook the mountain, and children screamed.

Peter jumped up, heading for the door. " Peter stop! " The chief yelled. "It's too dangerous! " Peter turned. His eyes were glowing with fear and determination. His glare sent everyone shivering. " If I don't stop this, then who will! " He said, and then turned and walked out the door.

Fira ran after him.

Peter stood in the middle of the field, staring at the sky. The wind whipped around him, pulling his dark hair all over his face.

Thinking about what the chief read made him think about his dad. How would he find him too? Peter tried not to cry. He didn't want to be like a baby. He had to be brave.

Fira ran up behind him, and grasped his hand. "We'll be fine. " She whispered. Though she tried to be brave and comfort Peter, she, like everyone else, shook like a storm.

Suddenly. The earth shook. The force through them down, yet they held onto each other tightly. "Fira clutched her brothers arm and cried. "I'm scared! I don't want to lose you again! " The earth quake threw them around the ground, and it seemed to never end.

Suddenly, they realized the world was spinning at a terrific speed, and sailing forwards. Looking at the sky, they saw the other world come into view. Peter's world. Fira screamed as it came closer.

Then they collided. The explosion was great, and it tore Fira and Peter apart. The force made Peter black out. He didn't even have time to realize he wasn't holding Fira anymore.
