The ground gradually stopped shaking, though muffled sounds of earth and rocks shifting continued. Peter lay motionless on the ground. He was still out cold, and alone.

Suddenly a bolder rolled up beside him and made him jump, as he woke up. He stood, thinking he had just been dreaming, though looking around, that dream was a reality.

People were scattered around, most of them badly insured, of else dead. One woman sat weeping beside her child who some how managed to stay with her, only to die. Peter stood staring across the street which was hardly even a street anymore. Buildings were laying down across the road torn in pieces. Bodies of people and animals lines the areas which used to be parks. Everything was a mess. Suddenly Peter's eyes went blurry and he couldn't move. It had to be a bad dream. A nightmare perhaps. Muffled cries followed, coming from the few survivors.

Peter ran. He screamed in horror though he couldn't even hear himself. He ran forwards, dodging bodies and trees that littered the world. Peter had lost everything now. Though he tried to stop them, the tears finally came. He fell to his knees, screaming. "Fira! " His body was numb with shock. "Fira!! " Turning around, he scanned the area. He got up and ran, searching. Searching for someone he knew. Goodness knows where in the world he was. He couldn't even think. Just then beside him, a plaque lay covered in dust. He picked it up. It read: Artredland.

The tears spilled again. Suddenly he saw across the street. Someone. Someone moving. Someone he had seen before. A man. A young man. Someone, hurt yet struggling to sit up. He saw the blood and the tears. He knew this person, and suddenly he remembered. Eric. That annoying Eric from Artredland.

Peter didn't want to go to him. He wanted to help, though he felt hatred. Peter took a step back, but then shook his head. He didn't want to be that kind of person. And he didn't want to be all alone. He ran.

Eric looked up and cowered in shame. Peter did not care. He crouched down beside him, and pulled him over next to a fallen tree. "Don't help me. " Eric mumbled. "I don't deserve it. I was rude to you. " "It doesn't matter. " Peter said, sitting down with a sigh. "What happened in the past isn't important. It's now that matters. We both need help. " "I'm sorry. " Eric said. "It's OK. I forgive you." Peter said. He shook his dust covered hair back.

"Right now all we need to think of is getting into a safe place and finding everyone. " "How? " Eric said, dropping his head into his hands. "We can't ever find everyone, it can't happen, they could be anywhere! " "I know that." Peter said with a sigh. "But crying isn't going to get us anywhere. We have to be brave. And never give up. We will find everyone even if we have to die in the process! " Peter's eyes glowed with determination and bravery. They seemed to burst in firey flames. Eric nodded.

This was the start of a long day.
