Piper POV
Sweat trailed down my face as he got closer. His blue eyes showed sorrow and worry.
"Piper, I'm sorry. I don't know what I was thinking. You are for me. Not Reyna" Jason said, sitting down next to me. I bit my lip.
"Talk to me after I get out of the hospital" I said, shoving him out. Percy sat next to me and the EMS guys closed the doors.
"Why do you think he's here?" Percy asked. I rubbed my eyes.
"I don't know. Love is complicated. This is why I don't like it" I said. Percy looked at me.
"Don't you love me?"
"I-I do. It's just, it's confusing" Percy sighed and leaned back.
"What do you think Chiron is going to do when he hears about this?" I asked.
"Pipes, the whole camp is at the hospital. They're really worried" Percy said. I groaned. I did not want all this attention. I'll gladly give all to Thalia and Hazel.
"What happened to Thals and Hazel?"
"All I know is that Hazel has a concussion. And I don't know anything about Thalia" Worry passed through me. This whole thing is hitting me like a brick. All we wanted to do was have a ni-
"Monsters! Percy, all of us demigods in one building is going to attract a whole lot of monsters" I whisper yelled. His eyes went wide
"Percy you are such a Seaweed Brain" I said angrily. He looked at me. I clamped my hand over my mouth.
"Piper, please, don't call me that. I'm not ready" He said. I respect that. But I had to speak up.
"Percy, she died a yer ago. More than a year, actually. And you have me. Can't you get over it?" The ambulance jerked to a stop. The took me out, and gave me crutches. We got inside and talked to a doctor.
"Your first appointment is next month"
"Thank you" I said. Me and Percy walked into the lobby. A few hundred teens and younger came hurtling toward me.
"Wait!" They all stopped. I pointed to my leg. One by one they came up and hugged me.
"How will you get back to camp?" Jordan, a Iris camper asked.
"Don't worry. You should all go, since monsters and all" I whispered. Some looked worried, but the crowd slowly trickled out.
"Here" Percy handed me ambrosia.
"Where did you get this?"
"When do I not need it?" I snorted.

"I'm so glad I got that cast off" I said, rubbing my leg. Percy sat down next to me and kissed my neck.
"How long have we been dating?"
"A month or so? Why?"
"I don't know. I just really love you. More than anyone" I smiled, and my heart turned to warm jelly. I kissed him. Fire spewed through my body, and all I wanted was him.
"Gods I love you" I said. Then came a knock. A heat wave came over me. Percy kissed my cheek and ushered me into the restroom so I would not be seen.
I heard the door open, and someone walk in.
"Hi Chloe. Listen, now is not a good time"
"Percy, I love you". What?! Percy said nothing. Who is Chloe?!
"Percy, who is that?" I asked, opening the door. I admit, she was stunning. Blonde hair, green eyes, perfect lips.
"This is Chloe. She was Annabeth's friend before.. She died" Chloe smiled, while her bright green eyes scanned me.
"Percy, can we talk outside?" She asked. I bit my lip and clenched my fists.
Percy looked at me like an idiot. I scoffed.
"Yeah, go ahead. I was just about to leave" Percy opened his mouth, then stopped. Him and Chloe walked outside. Did Annabeth deal with this too? Was she always angry, or did she just laugh it off? I put my clothes and and walked back to my cabin. The sun was begging to set, and I had a sudden urge to go for a swim. I changed into my swimsuit. It was a thong and a Bra with no sleeves. I never really wore it without a cover up. Percy loved it on me, and always tried to see me in it. I never let him.
"Hey pipes!" Lacy called as I was putting on my Black lace cover up.
"Hey"
"Campfires starting. You coming?"
"Nah. I'm not up for it. If you need me, I'll be at the lake" I said before walking out. A nice breeze rushed through, and campers scurried around with blankets and plates. By the time I got to the lake, it was dark. I sat down at the dock and just listened to the waves.
Was me and Percy the right thing? I don't think I can handle him getting hit on all the time. He might want me to handle it, but I can't.
"Hey Piper" Thalia and Hazel came and sat next to me.
"Hey Guys"
"Why aren't you at campfire?" Hazel asked, sticking her small feet in the water.
"Why aren't you?"
"Touché" Thalia said, nudging me.
"It's Percy"
"What happened?"
"This Girl Chloe came in, and whisked me away. She told him she loved him! And he's never mentioned her once!!"
"That must've struck a nerve"
"I don't know if I can handle it like Beth did" Thalia gripped my face.
"Your. Not. Beth" She said.
"And he can't expect you to be her" Hazel said.
"I know. But what if he's so used to that. And I don't think I can get used to that. Maybe we're not meant for each other" They gasped.
"You are so right for each other!"
"Sun and Moon!"
"Day and Night!"
"Bananas and Peanut butter!"
"What the Heck Thalia?" I said. She shrugged.
"Ugh. The point is, don't give up that easy. Fight for it" Thalia said. Hazel got up.
"Speaking of fighting"
"Him. Good luck" They walked away.
"Who are you talking about?!"
"Me maybe?" I looked to my right, and there stood Jason.
"Oh! You scared me. I totally forgot you wanted to tell me something" I said.
"Yeah. I miss you. Everything about you. You're laugh. The way you held onto me whenever I fly you to high. The way you look after a fight. They way you fight. You are perfect. It just took me long to realize that" He said. I couldn't see a thing, but I imagined him to be twiddling his thumbs.
"I'm sorry too. I'm confused. About life. Jason, maybe if you came sooner- I'm not going back. We can be friends, but a few words won't heal what you did" I got up and walked away. He grabbed the back of my cover up, yanking it off. I felt so helpless!
"Jason! Give it back" I grabbed at it, but he grabbed my waist, and dropped it. We shot up to the sky.
"Jason! Let me go!"
"Okay" His grip loosened on me. I wrapped my legs and arms around him.
"On the ground!" We hit concrete.
"The roof of my cabin. My haven" I looked at it. This was amazing. So quiet. So Peaceful. Our first real kiss.
"Why here?"
"I thought it would be a safe place"
"Jason. Being a demigod, no place is safe"
"Just away from other people"
"Why?"
"So I can do this" Before my mind registered what was happening, his lips were on mine. It felt right. But wrong. I stumbled back, but Jason didn't stop. His lips moved, while mine stayed still. He held onto me, tight. I banged on his chest, and kicked him. He still didn't stop. He moved away, his eyes sparking with desire.
"Jaso-Jason!" I punched his jaw.
"Jeez! Still Fesity I see"
"Shut it! God your disgusting! Do you really think that one kiss is going to win me over?! Do you really think a KISS is going to win me over"
"Piper, co-" He spit out a tooth.
"Ass-Hole"
"Like you never did anything wrong when we dated! But did I lash out? NO!" I scoffed.
"What do you want from me?! What do you expect?! You told me you would never leave for Reyna, then you hopped on a Pegasus and left!" Tears rolled down my face, and I could barely breath. Jason scoffed.
"I was dumb. You've been dumb before to"
"There-There is a difference between dumb and reckless" I said, my voice shaking with anger.
"The real question is. Which one are you?" Jason grabbed me and flew me down. He dropped me on the ground, and left.
The whole world was spinning, and a white hot lump was in my throat. It took all my energy to get back to my cabin. No one was there to see me cry my eyes out. The sounds of cheerful singing flooded my ears, and I did everything to shut it out.
"Maybe I need a hot shower" It didn't help. Neither did putting in comfortable clothes. Jason was the only thing I could think of. My life is so messed up!!
"Hey Piper"
"LEAVE ME ALONE!!" I'm done with people being all "Hey Pipes" and "Piper, Hey!"
Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. The cabin door slammed. A few hushed voices had a conversation, then someone walked inside. My fists clenched and I bit my pillow.
"Piper, cool it. It's our cabin too" Drew said, walking in and sitting on her bed.
"Alicia, mascara. I have a date with Jason tomorrow and I need to see if we need to get any when Piper goes to the store"
"Why me?" I asked, sitting up.
"Because silly, you have nothing better to do" I groaned and slumped down.
"Wait, did you say Jason?"
"Yes. He finally came to his senses" Sue said, getting up and rummaging through her trunk.
"Why would he ask you?"
"Why do you care? You have Percy. You can't have everyone Piper. That spot is only for the most worthy. Me!" She said.
"Really Drew? I would be happy to poke a hole in your ego" Maria said, climbing down from her bunk and tugging on a strand of Drew's hair.
"Ouch! Hormones much?"
"Oh Shut Up. At least I can keep a boyfriend"
"At least I have boyfriends" She said.
"Guys, leave her. She's not worth wasting good comebacks on" I said, wrapping my blanket around me.
"Lights out" I said.
"Wait!" Alicia shut of the lights, leaving Drew in the dark.
Drew's lying. She always lies. Why would Jason ask HER?
