Piper POV
"Drew's been gone for a while. Is she okay?" Sienna asked. I looked up from my book.
"How should I know?" She huffed.
"Someone's sassy" I smiled.
"I try" I said. She slipped on her shoes and walked out of the cabin. Peace and quiet.
"Piper! Piper! Piper!" Leo and Frank came running into my cabin.
"What?! What?! What?!" I mimicked.
"There are new campers. And one says she knows you!" Leo yelled.
"Calm down. So she's knows me, big deal"
"She sure is" Frank said. I raised an eyebrow
"What?"
"With the boys. I'm just saying, this new batch-" He blushed and looked away.
"Oh my god girls" Leo said, picking up a foot and mimicking Frank.
"Let me get changed and then I'll come. Out!" I shoved them out. She knows me? I can't remember any girl that I know. Before camp, that is. I put on some black leggings and a white crop top. I slipped on my beat up converse and ran to the entrance, while putting my hair in a pony.
"Hey Piper" Percy said when I got there and kissed my neck. A heat wave came over and I blushed as people's eyes came over us.
"Hey Perce" I said, pushing him away, but taking his hand.
"Campers! Settle down! As you know, we have a very large group of new campers, which may alarm some of you. But do not worry, because this is okay! It just means more demigods will be safe, and that's what we want. Now resume your daily duties" Chiron said, and trotted off, the new campers in tow. I tried to remember faces, but nothing came.
"Hi Percy" Shore came up. I'm done.
"Hello Shore" Percy said.
"Since I'm going to take you in a date, should I wear this?" She said. How about wear something! She was wearing right booty shorts and a very short crop top.
"Or do you want me to wear what I wore in the woods?" Percy put his hand on his pocket, where riptide was. I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Let's go to the lake" I said. He slowly nodded, and we left.
"What did she mean? By the woods?" I asked after we were away from her.
"I-I have no clue" I could tell something was up.
"She hasn't been in your cabin" He said.
"Why would she be in my cabin? She's a Demeter girl" I said.
"But she I'm said, sitting down in the wooden dock. He sat down, and I snuggled up to his chest.
"Everything is so complicated. Like one minute all we had to think about was saving the world and staying alive. Easy for us. And next we have to worry about that, and keeping mortals alive, and personal problems, and memory problems" I said. He sighed and hugged my waist.
"Something's can't be simple. We weren't meant to have a laid back life" He said.
"But we can have a easier life. I've been thinking... About leaving camp"
Percy sat up, and started at me.
"What?"
"It's just, everything messed up. And maybe if I left camp, then it will calm down. Only for a year or two, I'll eventually come back"
He stood up.
"But you can't leave. I need you" He said. I got close to him.
"Then come with me" I whispered. I knew he wouldn't, but I still could hope.
"Camp needs me" I smiled sadly.
"I know. I know. I leave on Friday" I said.
"That's in four days!"
"Then don't waste it" I said. He pulled me close, and we sat there as the sun set, and the campers left the campfire.
"That's 2 days in a row I've missed campfire. Chiron will be mad"
"Who cares?"
Percy said, burying his face in my hair. I never wanted to leave. Everything was perfect. Right in this point in time. When there is nothing else, only him.
"Gods Piper, I love you" I smiled.
"Percy, don't tell me you love me. I already know" He smiled.
"I wish I could hold you forever. Do you have to leave?"
"This is just to much to handle. If we could go back in time and stop Annabeth from dying, I would stay. But, everything's different now that she's gone"
I said. Percy took my hand, and we began to walk back to my cabin.
"Agh! Help!! Please!!"
Me and Percy turned around, and saw a Hellhound chasing a blonde girl. She was holding a large stick. No, two blonde girls. No, a girl and a boy. And the boy was black? I'm blind.
"Piper, come on!" Percy was already way ahead of me. I went to the big house and rang the emergency bell, then sprinted to Percy. He was fighting the Hound, so I focused on the kids.
"Help me. She's hurt" The boy said.
"Ok. Ok. Ok. She might not be a demigod, so nectar and ambrosia are out of the picture.
"What are your names?" I asked as Percy killed the Hound and ran over.
"I'm Carter, and she's Sadie. We're the Kanes"
