Piper POV (sry I'm obsessed)
"Okay, so you're siblings"
Steps probably. Hopefully. Or their parents have had turns with the dominant gene.
"Piper, come on!"
I snapped out of my thoughts and saw Percy running towards the camp, Sadie in his arms.
"Come on Carter, she'll be fine
" I said, trying to get Carter to follow me.
"What was that?"
He asked.
"Chiron will explain. Let's go"
We walked to the big house, and campers looked at him.
"So your name is Piper"
"Yep"
"Piper what?"
"McLean"
I said hesitatingly.
"Nice name"
He doesn't know?! Thank Gods.
"So, how did you and you're sister find this place?"
"I don't know. We just saw the sign, and a few people, and ran in" He said, staring at his stick.
"What does that stick do?" I asked.
"Really? You don't know? It's so popular" He muttered. I chuckled.
"We are pretty behind the times here. No phones" I said, trying to be scary. He looked at me funny.
"Really? What's wrong with you?"
"N-Nothing. Forget I said that" I said.
"PIPERRRRR! CRAP CRAP CRAP!! JEEZ OH CRAP!" I whipped around and saw Nico running towards me, Hazel and Leo on his heels.
"He'll only listen to you!" He yelled, ducking behind me.
"Leo! Calm down! It was just a joke!" Hazel said, in a soothing voice.
"Not when he tried to hook me up with Jayla!" Leo yelled. Eww. Jayla.
"Nico!" I yelled, smacking his head. He brought out his sword.
"You wouldn't hurt me if you dared" I said, knowing he would back down.
"Eghem" Carter cleared his throat. I blushed.
"So this is Nico and Hazel and Leo. Why don't you follow Hazel to the Big House" I said, pushing them away. I need to pack. For when I leave. I power walked to me cabin, hoping that no one would notice the sweat that was running down my face. I locked my cabin door, and plopped on my bed.
"Hey Piper, what dress do you think I should wear to my date?" Lacy asked, holding up a yellow flowing maxi dress and a short blue dress that puffed out at the bottom.
"Yellow. Lacy.. Can you get dressed in the changing rooms outside? I have something private to do" I asked. She frowned.
"I'm sorry Piper, but this date is big. I think he might say I Love you, and I don't want to look like a mess" She said, sitting down at a makeup table and begging to apply it. I sighed, then yanked my red trunk from under my bunk. I saw Lacy's eyes scan me, before switching back to her mirror. I stuffed all my clothes into it, and my comb and tooth brush and soaps into a backpack, along with some photos. I slipped 5 drachmas into the front pocket.
"Lacy, please tell me that you will always make sure Drew never becomes Cabin Leader again" I said. She scrunched her eyebrows together, but still nodded. I smiled, and stepped outside.
"FINNALY! WE'VE BEEN PUT HERE FOR THRITY MINUTES TRYING RO GET IN!" Alicia yelled in my face. Her and a few other campers stormed in. I meshed some spit of my nose, and continued on.
I looked at the sun. It would be dark soon, and that's when I wanted to talk to Percy. I have to avoid him until then.
My feet scrunched the falling leaves as I walked to the Big House to see what Sadie and Carter were up to.
"So you're saying you're wizards?" Leo asked, his fingers resting on top of the wooden engraved table.
"Not exactly. Mages" Sadie said, fiddling with her coat zipper.
"What the heck are mages?" Jason asked.
"Wizards" Carter said. Sadie glared at him.
"But Sadie just sai-"
"It's easier to just call us Wizards" He said. I focused on the siblings.
"We want the whole story. Begging to end" I said.
"No you don't" Sadie said.
"You don't know what we've been through. You wouldn't even comprehend. I've lost things- we all have. Parents, Siblings, Best Friends, Girlfriends" Percy said. I rested my hand on his arm, and he took it in his.
"So have we. I'm not saying that we have it tougher than you. I'm just saying that we have seen things..." Sadie said.
"You wanna go?!" Leo yelled. I smacked his head.
"Sorry. We're still training him" Leo smirked.
"A SMEXY ANIMAL LIKE ME CANNOT BE CONTAINED!" He yelled. I sighed.
"Try being stuck on a boat with him for.. A month?" Percy guessed.
"Jazz" Carter said, putting his head in his hands. Sadie became solemn too.
"Who's that?"
"Just someone.." She said.
"Welp! I heard the Apollo cabin is having a Halloween party, so me and Percy need to get costumes" I said, standing up. Percy frowned.
"But Piperrrrrrr" He whined. I leaned down and slowly kissed him on the lips.
"Okay" He got up.
"How'd she do that?" Sadie asked.
"He's head over heels for her" Hazel said. I smiled before walking out.
"So.. No crashes?"
"I like this one" I said, holding up a Egyptian Princess costume. Percy cringed.
"Gurl, you need to stand out. Come with meh" He said, flipping his hair. I laughed. Percy dragged me to the other side of the store.
I scanned the racks. They were all very slutty. Percy picked up a Alice In Wonderland one. It had white stockings, white small heels, and the dress was very short and very low cut at the top.
"It's either this or a bear. I'm not letting my girlfriend going to a Party like that" He pointed to a Maid outfit. I sighed.
"Why not a bunny?" I asked. He held up a bunny costume.
"Nope" I said.
"I'll just be a cat"
"No! I want you to stand out. Pipes, you're amazing. And I want people to know that" He said. I smiled.
I held up the first costume.
"No. Piper-" I pushed my finger onto his lips
"Shhhhh. Sh. Sh. Sh" I then walked up to the cashier.
"15.99" She said. Percy pulled out his debut card.
"Perce, what's your costume again?" I asked, smiling at the cashier and grabbing my bag.
"I'm a doctor"
"Really? That doesn't seem very Percy like"
"Yeah. Well, I was Prince Eric last year with Annabeth, and I wanted something different" He said.
"Oh yeah! And I remember, I was a-"
"You were Mario. And Jason was Luigi and Leo was Princess Peach" I laughed and remembered when everything was okay. When everyone was alive, and I didn't have anything to worry about.
"When does the party start?" Percy asked as we climbed into a cab.
"7:00" I said.
"Oh..."
"What?"
"Nothing"
"Percy-"
"It's nothing Piper" I but my bottom lip. He was never like this to me. What's going on? I turned my back to him, and focused my attention on a raindrop race going on outside my window.
Me and Percy went to his cabin to change.
"Percy, after the party-"
"I know. And I don't want to talk about. I just want to enjoy this moment" He said, and took of his shirt.
"Ugh! Percy!" I took my hands off my eyes.
"C'mon Piper. It's just a body"
"Yeah! But still-"
"Go get dressed Pipes. I'll meet you at the Apollo cabin" He said. I smiled and watched him walk out.
Somethings up. And I'm going to find out. He never acts like the way he did in the cab. And he would've walked with me to the party. And he decently would've changed away from me.
I grabbed a stray hoodie, and walked outside. First, I went to the Apollo cabin. Nope. Then the dining hall. Nope. Then my cabin. Nope. Then the lake. Nope. I sighed.
"Oh Percy.."
"Yeah?" I looked up, and saw his green eyes. I jumped up, and kissed him.
"Whoa! What's going on?"
"I didn't know where you were, and you were acting now strange and-"
"Here!" He had a box that was wrapped. He gave it to me, his eyes wide
"Percy?"
"Open it!"
I slowly in wrapped the small box. There was a red square box. I opened that one. Inside it was a silver ring, with a small diamond in the middle
"Percy, what?"
He took the ring from my hand, and dropped to one knee. Oh my gods. I can hear my mom in my head.
"Piper McLean, will you marry me?"
