The storm is still going on all around us. We are all soaking wet and covered in blood and ashes. The demons make clicking sound and look like they are getting ready to pounce.
The remaining groups of vampires and werewolves stop behind me, Isabelle, Zach, Jennifer, one of the vampire named Rob and a female vampire named Serena. They form a bigger group all together behind us. Rob and Serena step back to join the other members of our army.
There are over one hundred of us left when there was originally almost three hundred. Now Michel's army is diminished to a sad ten demons.
I almost cry just thinking that almost two hundred of the people that tried to help us are now dead. They were all killed by Michel's army which was just barely two hundred vampires and werewolves.
I can tell Jennifer is thinking the same because she is looking back at our remaining army compared to what it was before. I see a tear slip and run down her cheek.
The demons charge toward us and so does our remaining army. Vampires starts unsheathing swords and the werewolves start to growl. I pull out my black sword and so does Isabelle, Zach, and Jennifer. We all cut and slash at the demons and soon enough they are just another pile of ash and sticky black stuff on the asphalt.
Everyone just stands there at first, then all of the vampires start to hug each other, and the werewolves start playfully fighting with each other on the ground. I guess that's their way of celebrating.
Jennifer gives me a hug and whispers in my ear, "I'm very proud of you. So would your dad. The man he used to be anyway."
"Thanks Jennifer." I whisper back.
"Call me Jenn."
"I thought you didn't like being called Jenn?"
"Not by people I don't trust yet, but you're like a sister to me now. And I trust you with my life. Therefore you deserve to call me Jenn." We pull apart and I smile at her and she smiles back. A tear slips and falls down my cheek. She wipes it off and gives me another hug.
Isabelle comes in for a sneak attack and Jennifer pulls away so she can hug Zach. "We did it." Isabelle whispers in my ear.
"I know. It's over."
"Sorry, but you're wrong... We still have to stop Elizabeth and Eric." She says their names instead of calling them my parents. I silently thank her for that. "Didn't he says something along the lines of wanting to end the world? Or the supernatural one at least."
"I think so, but can we deal with that problem tomorrow?" I ask pulling away from her.
"Definitely. I want to get a good nights sleep and to see how my brother is doing."
"Thanks Isabelle. I agree. I want the check on Jake and a good nights sleep. All that flipping around and setting things on fire was very draining."
"Call me Is. All my friends do." She says and I start to cry again. She pulls me into another hug and I whisper in her ear, "Thanks for helping us out Isabelle. Sorry. Is. This would've been a totally different day if you didn't decide to help."
"You're welcome Veronica. I'm happy to help!" She whispers back.
"Call me V. Didn't you say we are friends now?" I feel a drop of water, that doesn't feel like the rain that is pouring down on us, land on my shoulder and I know she's crying. I take that as a yes and I start to cry as well. Smiling as I do.
"Let's go check on Jake." She whispers to me after a long hug. I nod my head and we step away from each other.
"We're going to check on Jake." Isabelle tells Jennifer. I mean Jenn.
