We went to Jennifer's place after we left the hospital. I crashed on the couch, Zach slept in the guest room, and Jennifer went to her room. I fell asleep once my head hit the pillow.
I wake up to the sound of Zach groaning in frustration. I open my eyes and see him trying to move a chair. Jennifer is giving him tips on how to do it, and he's yelling at her in response.
"Could you guys be a little louder? That would be great!" I say sarcastically.
"Sorry Veronica. I'm just trying to..." Starts Zach
"Move the chair. Ya. I can see that." I interrupt.
I walk over and focus on the chair. I think about it moving farther away from me. I picture it happening and breathe. I move my hand away from me pushing the chair without touching it. At first it doesn't move. I focus and try again. I feel a tingling feeling go down my arm into my hand, and the next thing I know I'm watching the chair move away from us.
I look at Zach and he's staring at the chair in disbelief. I look at Jennifer and she is looking at me impressed with what I just did on my first try.
"What the fuck! That's so not far!" Zach shouts.
"Focus on the chair moving. Do it." Zach stops looking at me and puts his focus on the chair. "Okay. Focus on the chair. Focus on what you want it to do. I want you to try bringing it to us. Can you try and focus on that?"
"Yes."
"Okay. Good. Focus on that. Picture it in your head. Breathe. And pull it toward you." I watch him breathe and I can hear him focusing. He reaches his hand out and pulls it toward him slowly, just like I did. The chair wiggles a little try to figure out if it wants to move. Zach opens his eyes and breathes out. He tries to pull the chair closer and this time it comes. Slowly, but that's because Zach doesn't want the chair to fly at us and end up hurts one of us. We all watch the Zach pull the chair over with out even touching it.
When it's practically right in front of us he stops and releases the chair. We all stare at it for a little longer then Zach shouts.
"YAH! I DID IT!" He looks so proud of himself I want to hug him. He hugs me instead. I hug him back. "Thank you." He whispers in my ear.
"Your welcome." I whisper back. He kisses me on the cheek then pulls away. We stare at each other for a minute longer. He's looking at me in longing. I don't know how I'm looking at him, but I start to wish that I never saw that night when he cheated on me.
We look away when Jennifer screams and puts her hands to the sides of her head. I run over to her in a blur and catch her before she falls. I don't know what's happening to her. I shout her name a few times and she just keeps screaming in pain.
After a few minutes she opens her eyes and is breathing heavily. She looks petrified.
"Are you ok?" I ask.
"I'll be fine. That happens sometimes."
"What was that?" Zach asks.
"I was having a vision. That's how I found you two."
"Did you see one of us?" I ask.
"I'm not sure. I saw a teen, she looks your age Veronica. She had black hair, black eyes, and tattoos. I know exactly where she is. She might just be supposed to help us, and she might be one of us. I can't be sure till I meet her. Get dressed. We're about to find out if we found another."
Zach goes into the guest room to change. My bag is in the too. I wait by the door for my turn to go in. He opens the door, but he's not fully dressed. He has a pair of black pants on and no shirt. He looks so gorgeous. His skin is so smooth and he looks like he might get a six pack as we start training.
