Shadows in the Dark: Rise of Three

Chapter XIX

Jake walks over to me and pulls me into a hug ignoring the fact that there's a battle happening around us. I put up a wall of fire around us so no one can separate us. I need this.

I feel a stabbing pain in my stomach. I step away from Jake and look down. There a sword puncturing his stomach. It twists to the side then is pulled out. Jake makes a grunting sound and collapses to the ground. I take one of my daggers and cut my wrist. I open his mouth and make him drink, but he doesn't.

I make a split second decision and teleport to the hospital. I hear my name being called out in the distance as I leave the fight. I arrive outside the hospital and scream for someone to help. A few nurses come out with a stretcher. They lift him up and start pushing him inside. I follow them.

"What's his name?" One of the nurses asks as we rush to one of the rooms.

"Jake Blackwood. I'm his sister. He was stabbed in the back when he wasn't looking. Please help him."

"We'll do the best we can." They push him into a room and a doctor closely follows.

"You have to stay out here miss." He says to me.

"I have friends I need to help. Can I come back? I can't just sit here and wait."

"Of course. Leave your number with the front desk and we will call you when he's stable."

"Ok. Thank you." The doctor rushes into the room and starts working on Jake. The doors close and that's the last I see of him.

Please hold on. Don't die on me. I love you Jake.

I walk to the front desk and leave my number with the receptionist. I leave the hospital and teleport back to Ferndale Road. I find the vampire that stabbed Jake and chop off his head with my hand.

"Do not mess with me. Ever!" I shout at the body of the vampire. I hear another vampire cry out. I look to see another vampire standing not too far away from me.

"You will pay for that!" He shouts at me. The vampire blurs at me and jab me in the throat with his hand. I start to cough. The vampire goes to throw another punch I lean away from the punch. I swing my fist at his face and the top of my hand connects with his face. Then I kick him in the stomach, but he catches my foot and lifts it up. I loose balance and fall on my back.

I jumps on top of me and starts punching me in the face. I move my leg up and kick him in the back. I push him off me and kick him in the side over and over again. Then I kick him again and he goes flying into the wall of one of the townhouses on the side of the street.

"V! Where's my brother!" Isabelle shouts.

"He's in the hospital. The doctor will call me when he's stable. Now let's go take our anger out of useless wastes of space."

"Good idea." She says as she pulls a black blade out of a sheathe on her back. I do the same and we charge at a demon not to far away from us. She cuts off its head and I cut into its chest. The demon disappears in a blast of black ash.

A werewolf comes charging at us and we hold our hands out and I set it on fire while she shoots it with electricity. Then we are surrounded by a swarm of werewolves. We pull out our swords again and start blocking and cutting. Another werewolf jumps over our head and bites another werewolf in the back of the neck while tackling it to the ground. I recognise the black and brown mix of fur. It's Katherine.

Another werewolf cuts her with its paw and she lets out a whimper. I stab that werewolf in the side and Isabelle attacks another one about to pounce on Katherine. Then another werewolf comes out of no where and bites Katherine in the side. She growls and turns her head to bite the werewolf that bit her and they start fighting.
