Leaving the realtor's house, the three crammed back into the Impala, driving around until the school Matt went to was over. Not creepily at all, they waited close to the bus station, parking the car beside the road. The rain had cleared up by the time they arrived in front of the bus. Nova's eyes followed Matt as he walked around the bus to start heading towards the tree line.
"Isn't his house that way?" Dean questioned, pointing in the opposite direction Matt was walking.
"Yep," Both Nova and Sam agreed, keeping their eyes on the boy.
"So where's he going?" Dean continued to ask as the bus drove past them. In sync, the three of them exited the car to follow the school boy. Walking deeper into the forest, the hunters spotted Matt holding an open plastic box as a stick insect perched on his other hand.
"Hey, Matt," Sam greeted softly as they approached the boy. "Remember me?"
"What are you doing out here?" Matt asked in a slightly scared voice, his eyes wide as he stared at the three.
"Well, we wanna talk to you," Dean responded, his voice not as soft as Sam's was.
"You're not here to buy a house, are you?" Matt realised. "Wait. You're not serial killers?" He asked, leaning back making the three scoff.
"No, no. No, I think you're safe," Sam reassured the boy with a smile.
"So, Matt," Dean started. "You sure know a lot about insects."
"So?" The boy responded in a small voice.
"You know Lynda, the realtor?" Nova inquired from beside Sam.
Matt gave a slight nod. "I heard she died this morning."
"That's right. Spider bites," Dean whispered the second part, using an accusing tone at the boy.
Sam glanced at his brother with an annoyed look. "Matt," He spoke again in a soft tone. "You tried to scare her with a spider."
"Wait," Matt paused, scanning over each of the three faces. "You think I had something to do with that?"
"You tell us," Dean responded.
"That tarantula was a joke," Matt explained. "Anyway, that wouldn't explain the bee attack or the gas company guy," Matt listed in a panicked voice.
"You know about those?" Nova asked, a little shocked.
"There is something going on here. I don't know what, but something's happening with the insects," Matt stated, placing the stick insect back on the branch he found it on. "Let me show you something." The boy picked up his school bag before walking around the three to start directing them around the forest.
