When I said I would let the possibility of Ally being Batgirl pass, I lied. Last night when I helped her change clothes because she was too drunk, I recognized a Batman costume in her closet. The costume was there all along but it did go unnoticed until that time. My suspicions grew stronger.
I got my drawing board at work and wrote "Batgirl" and "Ally" on the opposite sides, and a big question mark in the middle. I started connecting them with webs just like a serious criminal investigation.
Not that proving Ally is Batgirl mattered to our relationship—I wanted to do something special for Ally and if she is Batgirl, our future date is a perfect opportunity.
After mapping all the information, it all boiled down to D-A-N-N-Y—Danny is a talent of Pab's and worked closely with Hannah. Danny is Ally's best friend so he might have invited Ally over to Hannah's party. What a stroke of luck it was when Danny fell into my lap that day--figuratively.
"Hey yo Stevie! How's the beautiful girlfriend of my best friend?" Danny asked.
"Danny, I know you too well. What do you need?" I teased.
"Can you draw me a storyboard for my new song? They are assigning me Patrice and you know how low the batting average of Patrice in terms of romantic music videos. I want the MV to be special because I composed the song for Jillian and I wanted Jillian to be part of the video too."
"I will do it but under one condition," I said, suddenly seeing a chance to get information.  "Can I ask for something in return this time?"
                              "Anything."
I held Danny's shoulder and forced him to sit. I walked around him like I was actually doing detective work, occasionally stroking my chin and pausing.
"Just answer this question honestly--was Ally at Hannah's party four months ago?"
"Why would she be? It was a closed party for Pab's employees right? I mean Ally did not work for Pab's at the time of Hannah's party."
                              "DANNY."
"OKAY. Ally was there. But please do not hate Ally for keeping it a secret that she is the pee dancer you met, I meant the Fallen Angel met, months ago."
"What?! When did Ally know that I am the behind the Fallen Angel costume?'
"Wait, so didn't you know that Ally was the pee dancer in Batman costume?"
"Well I only had suspicions until you confirmed it just now."
"Oh shoot! I am the WORST best friend! And to answer your earlier question, Ally just felt it the second time you met. She was so afraid to lose you again because the timing of your meeting might be too soon. But her plan was just to  win you over and over no matter what."
"Awwwwww." My heart ached a little. Ally had been exceptionally romantic. "Please do not tell her that I already know."
                              "I will try."

My phone alarmed on Thursday. It was a reminder saying '24 hours till you meet your future girlfriend!'
'But I already got her beside me,' I thought to myself and smiled. I set the reminder four months ago when my future girlfriend, the Fallen Angel on the rooftop—who eventually turned out to be Stevie--and I arranged to meet again.
"Babe, do you want to watch a movie tomorrow?" I asked Stevie, just checking if she will be coming to meet me, I meant pee dancer. "I could pick you up after my rehearsal."
"I want to but I am meeting a friend," Stevie replied. "We can go to the cinema on Saturday if you're still up to it."
"Okay. Let's do that. But I can pick you up after dinner so you can drink with your friend." I was still fishing more information. Maybe Stevie was just meeting another friend.
"That is really sweet of you to offer. You may join if you want to. Wait, are you checking if I am flirting with another girl?"
"No. I know you adore me way too much to flirt. Ha-ha."
"You are absolutely correct." Stevie gave me small kisses on my shoulder and on my back. "I will be meeting her at eight at the rooftop restaurant on the 7th Street. Just slide in after your rehearsal."
"Nah, I do not want to bother your catching up. I will just drive you home." I said, hiding my astonishment. 'She will come to our date!' I thought to myself excitedly.
I did not want her to be stood up by pee dancer if I arrived as Ally. Besides, I already made a reservation four months ago.
