I was waiting outside the conference room of Pab Records. I finally gave in to Danny's request to submit a demo. I was working on it for the past three months to make the days forward faster.

Danny requested his big shot producers to give it a try. These same producers made Danny a star alongside with Ali Spag, Bria and Chrissy, and Ryan Cassata. Well, it was really Pab's call. Pab is the big boss who has the final say on everything. But no artist has seen Pab. Danny's theory is that Pab is a mythical figure that the producers created to scare off artists.

Danny hates how Pab has always been right. Despite Pab's unsure existence, Danny trusts Pab's instincts. Pab is the "Preventor of Assholes in the Biz" and the "Prophetic Applause Barometer." Getting a low Pab rating means you should consider shifting into another career.

The place was dope. The walls were painted off staff with musical notes of actual songs! I silently hummed one of it and got the alphabet nursery rhyme. I am seated on a vinyl record stool that turns. The staircase outside is an actual keyboard. The list of awesomeness would just go on.

I was bored so I started playing one of my songs. When I looked up as I hit the last note, a beautiful girl in white Ts and ripped jeans was staring. She had watched the whole thing! I blushed. Then all the memories of that night three months ago came rushing back.

'I finally found my angel,' I thought to myself. 'But does she remember?'

"Try slowing down your strumming on the guitar solo before the conclusion," she asked and her wish was my command. She started some ad lib that sent shivers down my spine. She signaled me to join in. I could not believe I was capable of being a part of such wonderful harmony.

"That was amazing," I managed to say while still hypnotized by her charm and talent. "Are you one of Pab's artists? I am Ally Hills by the way."

"Nah. I work at the Creatives. I am Stevie," she said as we shook hands. "Are you here for a demo?"

"Yeah. We're just waiting for Pab's verdict. My friend Danny is inside, catching up with the producers."

"Oh relax, you are good. And Danny has powerful negotiating skills," she said as her phone rang AGAIN.

She excused herself and answered the call. I overhear her saying, "My answer is yes. Can you run down the plan?" She was attentively listening, as if she was trying to memorize what the other line was saying.

She finally turned to me and covered the mouthpiece of her phone. "It was nice meeting you but I really have to go."

"Wait! Can we do this again some other time? I could really use some help in being creative," I blurted out without even thinking. "Plus my mom cooks well," I added. I had to make my offer more enticing.

She smiled again and my knees almost collapsed. She did not answer but she handed me her business card. She turned away and spoke on her phone again, "Let's meet in five. I've got some ideas." She ran which was a blessing as she did not see me blush the third time in three months.
