(Colleen's POV)
I woke up, still leaning on Josh. I looked at the time on my phone. 8:35 AM. I knew Rachel was awake. Or at least she was supposed to be. The kids are woken up at 8:30 every morning. I walked into the bathroom so I didn't wake up Josh. I called Rachel. She picked up.
"Hey Colleen!" she answered.
"Hi! How is everything?" I asked.
"Everything's fine, how's Josh?" she replied.
"He's okay, but he has to stay in the hospital for a week," I said.
"Are you going to be gone the whole week?" Rachel asked.
"No, I'll only stay all day today then I'll visit every night or so," I said. "Hopefully his friends visit."
"Yeah," Rachel said.
"How's Ava?" I asked. Ever since her accident I've trying to make sure she's okay.
"She's okay, she seems a little...different today," Rachel said.
"What do you mean by different?" I asked.
"I don't really know, but I think it might be because you're not here," Rachel answered.
"Oh no," I said. "Can you keep a close eye on her?"
"Of course," Rachel said.
"How's your arm?" I asked.
"A lot better, I might play basketball later," Rachel replied.
"Be careful," I worried.
Then I heard Josh wake up.
"Josh just woke up, I gotta go," I said.
"Okay bye, I love you," Rachel said.
"Love you too," I said and hung up.
I walked into the room and found Josh on his phone. I sat and talked with him for a while.
(Ava's POV)
I wake up and I remember that today's the day Colleen won't be here. I reluctantly got up and changed quickly. I picked at my food as I was dreading the day. I didn't exactly know why, because I love Rachel as much as I love Colleen. I guess I was just used to her being by me all the time. Everyone got up and we played kickball. I got a single the first time I went up, and the second time I got out. Next, we were allowed to do whatever we wanted to do. I would usually go to the pool at this time, but something told me not to. Instead I just sat by the basketball hoop and watched Rachel play with some other kids. When they were done, Rachel came to drink water. She grabbed her phone.
"Ava do you want to talk to Colleen?" she asked.
A/N: Hey, sorry this chapter is pretty short. I hope you liked it though! I'm also sorry for not updating, too many things are happening, but I'll try my best to update more.
